"Best value for money in the area. The rooms are efficient, location is convenient, and cafe is solid. There is even an ironing room on the 7th floor, which I ended up using on my last evening. As a runner, I valued quick access to the fitness center at an affiliate hotel, running path along the water (Akershusstranda), and Smoothie Xchange in Byporten—all within 400 meters (.25M) of the Comfort Hotel Xpress Central Station. Staff were the best, knowledgeable about the area and personable. Matias provided recommendations that I hadn't previously found in my research, and Julia and Evelina seemed to learn my morning routine—down to the coffee. "

"Really enjoyed our stay here, staff were excellent and very helpful. Breakfast as in all Norway hotels is superb. Please note there is quite serious construction work going on beside the hotel and they start early, 7am! It would definitely be worth requesting a room away from the work site. The location is 10minute walk from railway station and there are a lot of very good bars and restaurants close by. You are also very close to the Munch museum and Opera House with the floating saunas close by which are totally worth a visit. "

"The breakfast buffet was my favorite part of the state, with many hot dishes and cold cuts available every morning, as well as two kinds of fish: smoked and cured. The hotel rooms are not air conditioned so I don’t know if I recommend it for the hot or even warm months of the year as I prefer to keep the windows closed when I sleep and it did get stuffy in the room towards the morning in mid-April. I strongly recommend this hotel as an option for all mild weather travelers!"

And don’t forget to eat in partner’s cafe downstairs, Spor Av Nord, both for breakfast and dinner! Not only you’ll get quality food but also you’ll get discount for staying in the hotel. Totally worth it!"
