"The room was very dated and dirty. The floors and carpet were especially dirty. The bathtub and sink were cracked and old, the makeup mirror was a foot and a half too high, not sure how your supposed to use that. There is no coffee shop on the property."

"The lobby/check-in area, restaurants, pool, and gift shop were very nice. Apparently they were remodeled. However, the rooms were very dated with old carpet, peeling varnish on the room furniture = maybe 25 year old room furniture? I would not stay here again. (oh, and bus loads of tours going out on boat tours were crowding into the lobby (standing room only) waiting for the tour to start. Every day, all day we had to fight our way through the lobby. Not what we expected. (As a note, if you do stay there, be sure to request a "mountain" view room. Very nice. We requested a marina view (we didn't know that there were mountain views). The marina view was of 500+ boats in a "puddle" of water (lake was way down)."

"We're don't normally choose "lodges" to stay in, when traveling, but Sky Ranch was one of the highlights of any stay we've had in our travels. We both agreed that is was one of the cleanest, most comfy beds and pillows we can remember! The grounds are immaculate, the event venue, hot tub, VIEWS for days, plants and flowers marked and labeled...just wow. And only a few steps away from a concessions Air Stream for breakfast, lunch and great coffee. Also a quick walk to the Mesa Airport Grill with amazing food. Highly recommend!"

"Room wasn’t very clean… I let the desk know everything I am writing and their only response was “we will let housekeeping know”. No attempts to make it right, but the employees were mostly nice. There were pasta noodles on a pillow when we got there and were checking the bed, dog food under the bed (we didn’t have a dog with us) and the floors were dirty they had not been cleaned. People were smoking cigarettes outside (this property stayed it was non smoking with threats of fines posted everywhere) and it would carry in through the air conditioner. There were questionable people loitering outside and it didn’t feel the safest despite being a better part of town. The pool area was nice but there was a lot of dirt a debris in the pool and hot tub. Accessibility was good. The room was not a suite as pictured, it had 2 beds but no couch or sitting area so it was very misleading. Employees were nice but willing to do anything about the issues. Wouldn’t pick this hotel again which is unfortunate as it was in a good location, but the fact that it wasn’t clean was a big issue. "

"We found much of the staff to be somewhat standoffish during our stay. The young man working at the watch bar was really the only employee who consistently engaged with us and made us feel welcomed. On our last day, we had breakfast at Blue Coyote, and although our waitress eventually warmed up to us, it unfortunately happened as we were paying the bill and getting ready to leave. That said, the stay itself was enjoyable, and the views from our room were absolutely wonderful and one of the highlights of the trip. Overall, while the property and scenery were beautiful, the service experience felt inconsistent and could have been more welcoming throughout our visit."

"Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Cost I wanted to love our stay here, but unfortunately, the Arizona Grand Resort fell incredibly short of expectations. The Food: Mediocre at best. Room service was expensive and they didn’t even get the drinks right, For a resort of this tier, we expected much higher quality, but the dining options were underwhelming and definitely didn't match the price point. The Pools & Grounds: The pools were packed to capacity and noticeably dirty. One of the maintenance people was working on the pool adding chemicals while me and my children were in it. Beyond that, many of the property's amenities felt poorly maintained and dated. The entire property simply isn't what I expected based on how it's advertised. Billing & Cost: To top it off, the final cost breakdown made absolutely no sense. I do appreciate the staffs willingness to try to help and work it out! The one saving grace was the staff—they were very kind and polite throughout our stay. When I brought up the confusing charges, they mentioned they would work on fixing it, which I do appreciate. However, great service can't fully make up for a dirty environment and subpar facilities. Overall, it was a pretty poor experience. Between the maintenance issues and the lack of value, we will not be visiting again."
