Sterling Shores 207 - Sparkling silver shores await when you book an Emerald Coast vacation. Sterling Shores 207 is a vacation rental in downtown Destin’s Sterling Shores condo complex that overlooks the shimmering coastline. Its convenient location places guests minutes from the gorgeous Gulf and within close proximity to fun Destin activities. The condo includes two bedrooms, two baths, and an open floorplan that encompasses the living, kitchen, and dining areas. It can entertain up to eight guests. The comfortable living room greets vacationers upon arrival. It features light gray walls and beachy décor, which is complemented by dark, hardwood tiled flooring. A wall of sliding glass doors at one end of the living room offers views of a tropical paradise. The doors lead to a breezy balcony, where you can check out the views while chatting with friends and drinking a cold one. Back inside, the sunny living room includes a cream-colored couch that doubles as queen-size sleeper sofa, two matching armchairs, and a patterned rug. The seating ensemble faces a flatscreen TV that is mounted atop a large, white entertainment cabinet. The living room opens seamlessly into a casual dining area, where a pedestal-based table and six chairs sit beneath a simple chandelier. Stores, shops, restaurants and places for kids activities. Also a close walk from the beach with a designated beach area of where we were staying. Very family friendly. Only remarks would be the sofa bed in the living had bed bugs. My daughter woke up with multiple bite marks all over her body. Also shared bathroom had a broken doorknob which meant everyone had to pass through the bedroom to use the bathroom. Giving no privacy to the people in the room. Another thing we thought everything was going to be provided for us. We were provided with one set of toilet paper for each bathroom and that was it. We were also only given 2 trash bags for the 4 days we were there. No where on the reservation was it listed that we had to bring these things so we had to buy them while we there. The furniture was all very comfortable and has plenty of seating. It does have a washer and dryer as well as a hair dryer, which I was unsure of prior to arrival. It’s on the second floor so there is only one flight of stairs. There are 2 elevators but they can take a while to get on. I loved the proximity to the pool area. The beach was a short walk and the ocean can be seen from the balcony. Overall, this has been the best condo we have stayed at this far. ##### Erin L. We will definitely return, but to another unit. We had some problems in the unit but the property management company was very responsive. We were without a coffee maker for a morning but it was replaced in the afternoon. The clothes dryer broke five days into our stay and it was not available our last three days. Wet clothes and towels don't hang dry well in Florida so this was very inconvenient. The soap dispenser door in the dishwasher did not function correctly and only about half the soap dissolved. This was concerning from a health standpoint so we hand washed anything we used. As we have stayed in several VRBO properties, we now travel with some of our own household items. If someone is planning on using this unit, plan on bringing a lot. The only things in the kitchen are cooking pans, flatware, silverware, and drinking ware. There wasn't even salt and pepper. There were plenty of towels provided but there were only two rolls of toilet paper for four people for eight days. It felt a little chintzy, especially for the amount of money we spent to stay for eight days. This unit is located very near the elevator, which did not cause any issues. There is a plumbing system issue which is very loud in the master bedroom/bathroom. We were awakened every morning to rattling pipes as upstairs units flushed toilets. ##### William W. The 2nd bedroom has 2 beds, 1 is in front of the dresser so you can’t use it. The 2nd bed is in front of the closet so you can’t use it either. The only other issue I had with the property is the private beach access.
