This unit is beautifully decorated in a cheery, beachy style with a king bed in the master, twin bunks in the hallway, and a queen sized pullout sofa. You have an extra half bath for the extra guests, and your own washer/dryer right in the condo. Enjoy sunset gulf views while cooking or enjoying a meal from the large open kitchen and dining area at Crystal Villas A-2! The panoramic gulf views are incredible from this first floor condo! This unit is so close to the beach that you can sit on your patio and talk to your family while they are on the beach getting a tan. Just outside your front door you can watch the kids swim and play in the pool. Crystal Villas is a Smoke Free complex. Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy! Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. We will definitely be back to this location. Our only complaint was that beds not being comfortable at all. Everything else was absolutely perfect but my 17 year old slept on the couch and my 15 year old made a bed on the floor. My husbandā€™s had multiple back surgeries so he didnā€™t sleep well in the master bed. Everything was perfect except for the mattresses were horribly uncomfortable. The location was perfect for beach lovers. The kitchen was perfect for cooking small meals in. We spent and evening at the pool right outside the door and it was a nice evening. My husband havenā€™t been on beach trip in years. This was perfect place for us! Enjoyed our trip tremendously! Only complaint was Crystal Villas charging us for beach chairs for 4 days when we only utilized them for 2 days. The chairs are set out from 9am-5pm. Check-in 4pm/ check-out 10am. Also claiming a chair setup, itā€™s first come first serve basis- not reserved to your condo. Crystal Villas, need to rethink this mandatory charge regardless if peak or off season. ##### CAMILLE D. The kitchen was FULLY equipped, the rooms/bathrooms were clean, the beach access was WONDERFUL, there was ample parking space, etc. For the price and location, I thought this place was a great deal. RealJoy also provided some offers, such as 1 free adult admission to a dolphin cruise (which we used and it was awesome). I did notice the sewage smell from the bathroom that others mentioned, but I only smelled it during certain hours in the daytime and even then I barely noticed it unless I was in the bathroom. The smell when you walk in is pure musty/damp and never got any better during our stay. The sink in the hallway bathroom was a very low stream. The shower is gross, long black hair in the floor. The master bed was comfy. We booked only a few weeks before our stay, so the choices were few. We actually left a day early due to just not being comfortable. You definitely get what you pay for in this unit. Weā€™ve been coming to Destin for many years, and we typically stay at Crystal Sands. ##### Kim M. Fridge and dyer sorta worked. Beds in hall way are only kid sized not for adults. No mat to wipe off your feet form the beach. Yucky and very little patio furniture on patio. Kitchen has very little to offer with very outdated appliance. Bathroom and kitchen is dirty and very old. Location is the only plus. But property needs work The Good: Great location on first floor and steps to the beach. 2 min walk to Henderson resort and 3 min drive to all the shops and food of East Destin. Check in and communication with host was fantastic and quick. The Bad: Condo is very outdated and was very below any standard for cleanlinessā€¦especially if customers are paying such a premium for a ā€œcleaning feeā€. We found hair and used soap bars in shower, hair in our bedding, dirty floors that were very musty, and moldy bread and food in the cabinet that had the Florida insects indulging themselves. Verdict: Great location for the priceā€¦but thereā€™s a reason itā€™s on the cheaper side. If they updated and ensured cleanliness we would stay again. ##### Joshua C. Itā€™s a decent property but needs updating. The walk out door to the beach doesnā€™t lock there is a piece of wood provided to lay in the track to keep door locked. The front door when the wind is blowing makes a bad vibration noise due to weatherstripping around door split. Carpet threw out condo the furniture is well worn and showing age. We contacted them on multiple occasions with the response of ā€œhave you tried unplugging the router and replugging it in, ā€œ Then try to connect to the unit next door, then we will make this a priority and respond first thing the next day and then nothing. Our phones didnā€™t have good service so we were counting on wifi to use while on our trip. If you had told us there would be no wifi we wouldnā€™t have booked here. ##### Ali N. The location is amazing!! Ground floor, you can walk right out into the beach, pool is great but this condo needs MAJOR updates & maintenance. The door handle to one of the bathrooms was broken off, we couldnā€™t get the dish washer to latch shut and once we did and started the cycle it started to leak onto the floor, the dryer was not vented outside of the bathroom so every time we dried a load the bathroom was covered in lent, TVā€™s, etc were extremely dated... we also only had one towel for each of our 5 guests in the room, no extras. I know you donā€™t go to the beach for the room youā€™re staying in but a little update and maintenance would have made it a bit nicer...especially when a mom just wants to relax and not had wash dishes all week šŸ˜Š ##### Sarah D. We were so excited to be able to walk right out of the condo onto the beach,when we got there and walked in the place was so musty smelling. After doing a walk through and noticing how filthy the couch was and carpet we seen how dirty the cushions were at the dining table, when we picked up a cushion to look at the other side there was bugs crawling around. I took a video and sent it to the property manager and they sent out maintenance to look but determine that it wasnā€™t uninhabitable so they wouldnā€™t refund us our money or even put us in a new rental. We were very disappointment in the lack of help with the situation because there was no way we were staying in a place with bugs so we ended up having to get a motel and cut our trip short which really upset the kids they were excited to be on the beach and spend a lot of time there. ##### Megan G.
