A couple friends and I stayed here to unplug. It was quite relaxing and very spacious. Johnny the caretaker was a great help going over everything about the property. My group and I are very much considering staying here again.
My group had an incredibly relaxing and fun time at this beautiful private lake house. There were many bedrooms, kitchen supplies, board games, and fun gathering areas. We especially enjoyed taking the boat out on the quiet and serene lake. At night we sat around the large waterside firepit and stargazed - we even saw a few shooting stars! Johnny, the caretaker, was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and helpful. We hope to return soon!
We spent a week here with three adults and four teens. The property is as described, and the pictures are accurate. The picturesque lake was peaceful and relaxing, with great fishing (our group caught a total of 52), despite a lot of rainy weather. There was plenty of room in the house for everyone to spread out although everyone tended to gather in the downstairs living area with the sliders to the lake. Johnny was very friendly, checking in to see if we needed anything but not at all intrusive. We enjoyed our time and would stay again!
This is a beautiful and spacious cottage. Beautifully private setting on the lake. We took our 3 grandchildren, ages 4-9. They loved it. Johnny the property caretaker, is very personable and was very helpful, told us about all the nearby things to do, or where to get anything we forgot. He gave us his cell number in case we needed anything. I highly recommend this property!!!!!
Johnny was incredibly kind and went out of his way to make our experience welcoming. As soon as we arrived, he took the time to personally greet us and explain everything about the property in detail. His warm and open demeanor instantly put us at ease. He answered all of our questions thoroughly, ensuring that we felt comfortable and fully informed. Johnny’s hospitality truly made a difference, and his attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. We couldn’t have asked for a better host!
Great house and beautiful location. Enjoyed waking up and fishing in the backyard. Spent the afternoons floating down the WB of the Delaware river...only 15 mins away. Pre arrival communication was excellent. Johnny the manager was super awesome.
Not only was it beautiful to wake up lake side the manager was so nice he always check to make sure everything was good and to make sure we was enjoying the weekend..
This place is fantastic. It is exactly what I was looking for in my weekend getaway. The owner and communication were fantastic. Highly recommend and would definitely book again.
we and my friends loved this place. Amazing views and a cute little goat farm owned by Johnny. Johnny was also super accommodating and sweet when we were checking in.
We really enjoyed our stay! We loved swimming and boating in the lake. The area is very peaceful. The house and yard are perfect for a family! Johnny was a very good resource for us! We would love to stay again!
The best part of the stay is the access to the lake and the view. Perfect place to relax and enjoy time with friends or family. Johnny was very helpful with information and showing the house. Super friendly guy. Will come and stay again.
The property was very nice had everything you would need in the house
Very eclectic feel for the interior furnishings makes you feel like what it is, a family camp in the mountains that the family has collected all of the handed down furnishings to make it have everything you need to enjoy the mountain summers.
The care taker Johnny was very nice a knowledgeable about the area and was available by phone whenever we called.
Overall the house and property are cozy and the location on the lake is beautiful.
Would definitely stay again
Blueberry lake is a serene location for relaxation and time on the water. There were three boats available to enjoy the lake and plenty of waterfront space to enjoy calm mornings and evenings. The house is spacious with two full floors and lounge areas, it could have easily accommodated two families with children. Our only complaint was the furnishings were older and worn, but we spent all our time outdoors.
The house was just as advertised. The house itself was very clean, nothing fancy if you are looking for luxury. It was well kept and fully stocked. There were nice touches everywhere. John the caretaker was extremely helpful and checked to make sure we had everything we needed on a few occasions. The main drawer of the house was it’s beautiful lakefront location. In my opinion, the quietest best location on the lake. Very peaceful stay. The kayak, row boat and peddalboat were a bit hit with everyone. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend
We just stayed for 3 nights with our family of five (me, my husband and our 3 teens). The house is very spacious and each of my kids got their own queen bed (they were thrilled). Check-in was great - the caretaker, Johnny, met us at the house, walked us through it and answered any questions we had. The lake is so peaceful, since no motor boats are allowed- kids swam and used the kayaks a LOT. The kitchen is well-stocked with anything you may need, gas grill is under a roof outside with a table (perfect for playing board games), the firepit is lakeside and was perfect to sit by... we would absolutely return to this house. Itself not new, but it was quaint, large enough for us and we all had an amazingly time! We even walked all the way around the lake - aboit a 45 min walk. My only (small) suggestion is to get a mattress topper of some sort for the upstairs lake-facing bedroom because the mattress is a bit hard. Still, we loved the house!
Driving through the sleepy town of Deposit up winding quiet roads, we found a hidden gem nestled up in the hills--a charming lakeside house overlooking the small picturesque lake, Blueberry Lake. We swam, fished and boated by day and roasted s'mores by bonfire at night. When it rained, we cozied up next to one of the fireplaces in the house. We spent a few days with another family enjoying the quiet, natural beauty surrounding us. We had some success and caught a couple of largemouth bass. The kids had a blast boating in the various types of boats (row boat, kayak & paddle boat) provided. The property manager was great and the host responsive to our needs.
We are definitely planning another vacation here next year.
The house is awesome very clean very spacious. The house has everything you need and more. Bedrooms are big and spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The Lake is beautiful very quiet and away from all the people. Nobody will bother you in this house. Fishing is awesome either from the boat or right from the doc. The owner is very nice and extremely receptive. The property manager Johnny is one of the best people ever met. Very attentive to details and extremely accommodating not to mention Very funny! Thank you so much to both Mike and Johnny for a pleasant stay already booked another stay and will definitely continue coming back. What a very much recommend to anybody who once a quiet place to relax.
Me and my family stayed there with a 6 month old it was very spacious place even when you look form outside you cant tell. I don't think it will be safe for a crawling kid without constant supervision. Especially the stairs. The nature and outside was beautiful everyone loved the foliage and we got to take very good pictures during this time. There was no fish this time at all last time we stayed in late September there was plenty fish jumping the the lake and you can see and catch. This time nothing at all. But the house is good and the boats are there the camp fire pit right on the lake. Almost, everything you need on the property.
This was a great spot for a college reunion for a few days. The house was perfect for us and Johnny was very responsive to our needs from start to finish. The lake water was a little cold for swimming but we did get out to kayak around most mornings and enjoyed being visited by the red-winged blackbirds and Canada geese! I woke up one morning to see 9 adults and 22 goslings snacking in the backyard! I'd encourage wearing shoes while on the lawn, though, since they tend to make deposits while visiting (just part of life on the lake - not a problem!).
We had a very baseball-focused agenda for our trip and this was a great base to visit Cooperstown as well as a couple of minor league games - Binghamton (AA) and Scranton (AAA).
Saw several deer on the surrounding roads and while walking on the loop road around the lake. No bear sighting, but that's only because we were careful not to leave any food or trash outside. I'm sure they're around.
We spent most of our evenings in the basement living room, which was very comfortable for playing cards and just hanging out. The upstairs living room would certainly accommodate more but we found the convenience of the kitchen too tempting to resist.
All in all, a very nice property and location. Perfect for our needs.
