The Flea Bag Hotel of Texas

Posted 27-Jun-2016
I asked for a handicapped room near the office, which I recieved. The bed turned out to have Fleas in it. The next morning I woke to have more than two dozen Flea bites all over my body. The bites became very swollen , itchy, and running with pus !!! When I complained the next day, the desk clerk tried to give me the same room again !!!! I told him to give me my money or a different room. He finally gave me a room with no fleas.

Dirty

Posted 23-Jun-2016
Paint peeling, mold, dirty pillows and sheets, no hot water, those are just a few of the awful things about this hotel

Room wasn't maintained well.

Posted 31-Dec-2015
Pros: Location, WiFi quality, and desk clerk was very pleasant.
Cons: Stop letting animals into every room there. I understand the need to accommodate animals but keep a few rooms animal free.
Location: This motel in is in a better part of the city as I am familiar with the city having lived here 28 years. The mall is close as is Applebee's & others.
The animal dander and perfumed powder used on the carpet to cover the animal dander gave me asthma. The carpet was tattered near the entrance door and should just have been replaced. People with animal or perfume allergies should skip this room. There should be some rooms kept animal free just as some are smoke free. Motel personnel was great. WiFi was great. Location was great.

Got what I needed

Posted 14-Dec-2015 on Hotels
I'll repeat other reviews... you get what you pay for. I needed a cheap place to sleep for the night-- just me. Didn't need anything fancy, up-to-date, or any special bells and whistles. Got what I paid for. It's not that bad, just really dated.

If zero's were options that is what they would have gotten on all!

Posted 04-Sep-2015 on Orbitz
We checked in and were greated by a dirty room, refrigerator/freezer that had ice cream leaking all over. Non-smoking room wreaked terribly of smoke. Front desk clerk agreed to move us to another room. Room was still dirty, freezer was so full of ice that we couldn't have put anything in and then I realized that the only smoke detector was laying on the table, DISCONNECTED from the wires in the ceiling!!! When I contacted the front desk clerk, I was told that he couldn't help me and I needed to get another hotel. No REFUND would be granted. Folks, I am sorry if this seems harsh or spiteful, but this is a violation code in the city of Denton. I have contacted the Fire Marshall and they will be fined and mandated to repair it and any other room with no fire detector. They risk the probability of being Shut down if they have several violations. We went to Super across Teasley and had a wonderful stay for almost the same price. DONT waste your time here!

Old, not family atmosphere, and it shows

Posted 01-Aug-2015
The motel was old, the mattress old, there was texture torn off one of the walls. Advertising in the lobby for "fantasy suites" made be feel like I was in a place to bring prostitutes, not for families. I won't be staying there again.
