Dog Beach is very close. Del Mar village is a short walk or drive away, with restaurants, shops, and entertainment. Walking distance to Del Mar Fairgrounds (SD Fair, Racetrack, etc). ACCOMMODATION \- Sleeps up to 5 guests in 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms \- The large primary bedroom has a king- size bed and an alcove with a full-size bed. Includes a desk, A/C, a ceiling fan and 60” Smart TV. En-suite bathroom with large shower. \- The second bedroom has a queen-size bed. Ensuite bathroom with a tub and shower. There is a front balcony with chairs leading from this bedroom. \- The kitchen is well stocked and includes a coffee maker, blender, dishwasher and plenty of serving platters and dishes \- Dining table seats 6 and 3 bar stools look into the kitchen. \- There is a guest bathroom with a toilet and sink downstairs. AMENITIES \- The beach house has all the amenities you need for a relaxing vacation, including free WiFi, two - 60” smart TVs in the primary bedroom and living room, linens, towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the bathrooms. \- There is a washer and dryer in the garage. \- A large slider leads to the private backyard and includes a Weber gas grill, outdoor hot and cold shower, dining table for 6, and 4 comfy Sunbrella chairs. \- Beach equipment is provided and includes 6 beach chairs, wagon, umbrella, 6 large beach towels, 2 boogie boards, sand toys, and paddle toys. \- The water throughout the entire home is filtered by LifeSource Water. PARKING \- You can fit up to three cars in the driveway easily. No street or garage parking. \- 220-volt EV charging port. Cable not provided. HOUSE RULES \- MAX OCCUPANCY AT ALL TIMES: 5 \- QUIET HOURS: 9pm - 9am \- NO PARTIES, GATHERINGS, NO EXTRA GUESTS THAT OVER OCCUPIES THE HOME, OR EVENTS ALLOWED. Strictly enforced. \- THIS HOME IS DOG FRIENDLY: There is a $50 fee per night, per dog. Up to 1 dog allowed. We only accept dogs. Cats are not allowed due to the homeowner's allergies. CANCELLATION POLICY \- A thirty (30) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than thirty (30) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty, aside from a $500 restocking fee. \- Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 30 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment (not including deposit and cleaning fee). \- Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent. If you wish to shorten your existing reservation with VRBKIM, and your reservation is further than 30 days away, we do charge a $100 restocking fee to make this adjustment. Parties and Overoccupancy Policy: \- If the guest violates any of our rules regarding noise, parties, or overoccupancy, and the host receives complaints from neighbors, a $500 fine will be imposed per occurrence. The towel rack was coming off of the wall but I fixed it with a proper drywall anchor so it's good to go for years. 3 bedrooms would be nice but the extra bed in the master worked out fine. Cons: no air downstairs so may be uncomfortable in the summer, only two towels for bedroom 2 and three for bedroom 1\. Both rooms had two people for 5 nights. Bedroom 1 is spacious, very nice. Bedroom 2 is small. No closet, hung up clothes in the utility closet and in the garage downstairs. Facial tissues only in the downstairs bathroom and none in the rooms. It's clean, the beds are comfortable and spacious for our family. The outdoor patio with table and fire pit were enjoyed each evening and the outdoor shower helped a ton when getting back from the beach with little ones. The property was perfect for us. We found it clean and tidy, and also was well stocked. The communication with the manager before, during, and after the stay was always timely and clear. We had electric bikes so not being able to use the garage was an inconvenience. Living room furniture could be more comfortable for watching TV. Refrigerator has a loud vibrating noice. We enjoyed our stay at the Vitamin Sea very much. The unit is updated and very comfortable. Perfect for a couple. The very best thing in my opinion is the location! Just a short walk to the beautiful Del Mar beach. My list of suggested improvements is short - living area furniture (couch and chairs) should be cleaned at the least or replaced at best; provide a second set of sheets for beds to make changing convenient; internet service drops periodically and speed not be adequate for remote work situations. The beautiful open kitchen ,dining and living areas were perfect for our birthday dinner party. The house was very clean and well stocked with nice towels ,soaps,beach gear and games, and there was ample parking. We loved sitting around the fire pit at night visiting with our family, and enjoying the weather. In short, the property was exactly as described. There are hundreds of good restaurants around, and if you cook at home, Seaside Market in Cardiff is a must! ##### Karen L. We very much enjoyed our Thanksgiving break stay at the townhouse! While we were in town for a tournament and did not spend that much time at the property - we found it very clean and nicely appointed. The beach chairs/towels, boogie boards, bag of beach toys, outdoor shower etc. were so nice to have vs. purchase. And the location just a block off the beach was ideal. The train noise during the day was not an issue but if you are a light sleeper in the front bedroom, use the fan to help block the occasional freight train passing. With most of Del Mar near the tracks - the quality of the townhouse and location near the beach more than made up for this. The owner was easy to work with and very flexible with the arrival and departure timing. We will use again when back in the area. Thank you!! ##### Jks S. The 3 minute walk to the beach was the best for us & the dog. The house was extremely comfortable and felt like home shortly after arriving. Not overly crowded at the beach. Great amenities in the house. We arrived late at night with the wrong code. Had to call a couple of numbers to get someone to give us the right code. A/C wasn’t working, third day up and running. King bed in primary with a double bed. We put our kids in the primary room & took the second room with a full size bed. Full size bed was fine but it needs to be replaced. It moves with you & makes lots of noises. Probably a bad spring. Just replace the mattress! Outdoor patio was great but the floor needs to be power washed, badly. Otherwise if your barefoot, the bottoms of your feet end up black. Also, the upstairs patio lock needs to be checked. My son & I got locked out. Beautifully landscape. Well stocked. We kept windows open (mainly because there was no a/c for a few days) but neighborhood was quiet and loved that we could keep them open. Train didn’t bother us. Fireplace in the living room was nice. We loved our stay! We have traveled to Del Mar for many years to enjoy a week of R & R with our kids but this was the first time we stayed in this home. We are so happy we ventured to try another rental for our stay because this home was perfect. Nice furnishings, clean, beautiful updates to the property, nice backyard space if needed. We could not park our SUV in the garage due to limited space on the side walls of Garage but we didn't mind. Our kids are still within age ranges that sharing a room or bed is not a problem so it worked out beautifully for our family of 5\.
