Sleeps 6 \*Wrap Around deck\*Creekside to Penny Creek \* Queen,2 Twins,Queen pull out couch. Washer/ Dryer in unit. High-speed internet. Screen Porch and Outside Firepit! Perfect quaint affordable getaway in Powder Horn Mountain! Welcome to the best little Creekside cabin around. Enjoy that morning coffee while listening to the trickle of our little creek. The house has one flight of stairs to the main level and all rooms are on this level. 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath along with open concept living room and kitchen. Sleeping arrangements are bedroom with queen, bedroom with 2 twins, and queen sleeper sofa. Outdoor seating for 6, propane grill. Interior gas fireplace, tennis rackets,basketball, and frisbee’s provided for guest use. This house does have central heat and air. Lower level screened in porch and outside wood burning fireplace with twinkle lights by the creek! This house is the absolute getaway for the entire family. PS2 for play and watching DVD’s. A selection of DVD’s and games are provided. There also is an old school free standing arcade game! Rain or shine, plenty to do here! Located in the gated community of Powder Horn Mountain. Renters have access to the outdoor community pool during the summer months as well as hiking trails, clubhouse, fitness center, tennis, campground, fishing, paddle boating, disk golf course and more. The house is a great getaway, located just a few hours from Charlotte, Greensboro, Winston Salem, and Raleigh. The house comes with all your linens as well as a roll of toilet paper and paper towels. The kitchen is very well equipped with full size gas range and oven, dishwasher, fridge, small appliances like drip coffee maker and a Keurig, blender, toaster, microwave, knives, mixing bowls, cookie sheets, pots and pans, measuring cups and spoons, dinner ware for adults and kids! We do recommend stopping at the grocery store before arrival. Closest grocery store to the community is at the top of Elk Creek Rd, Food Lion. Fiber Optic Internet and Phone/Entertainment Cell phone signal is spotty but wifi calling is available. PETS are $50 PER PET and charged separately after your initial booking. Please make note of any pets when you book. Just minutes to Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, West Jefferson, High County festivals, Fly Fishing, Blue Ridge Mountains, Appalachian Trail,Wineries, Breweries, Appalachian State Football! Shopping and local restaurants galore! Ski resorts are about 45 mins away but only 18 -25 miles. Banner Elk and Blowing Rock will be about 45 mins. Tweetsie 35 mins. For baby gear we do have a local provider you can rent from and that info is included in your initial email correspondence pdf. Groceries can be delivered to your house with 24 hour notice. We usually have folks order from Lowes foods for pick up around 2pm the day of check in. There is a fee for this service. The campground in the community is a great place for an outside firepit and smore’s. It sits on laurel creek and is the main starting point for many of our famous hiking trails like the Blue Hole. There are charcoal grills down there as well. We recommend if the pool is busy to go check out the swimming spots on the river at the campground. Absolutely gorgeous! A $50 Pet Fee PER PUP will be charged after booking \- A signed rental agreement is required to fully confirm this booking. \- ALL Trash must be bagged in large kitchen bags, including pup pick up bags. $25 fee per bag if it doesn't fit in the provided outside trash container. We rent a cabin every year for spring break, always in a different location. This was our fifth year and this was the NICEST, CUTEST cabin we’ve stayed in. Super clean, well appointed, and so peaceful. I gave the communication four stars only because I tried to inquire about getting refunded on the pet fee since we didn’t bring our dog and never heard back or saw a refund. BUT otherwise, great. The cabin was so lovely, very well appointed and the kitchen was well stocked for culinary adventures. We loved having breakfast on the deck and watching the geese and ducks frolic in the pond. Reviewer Comments: My 4 year old son and my father who is 69 spent Labor Day weekend at Penny Creek Cabin. This was our first trip to the mountains for my son, Solomon. We had a wonderful time. The house was amazing and perfect for what we needed for the weekend getaway. We enjoyed listening to the creek that flows next to the house and hiking the trails around the house as well as grilling out and watching the deer who were grazing right next to the deck. We went to Tweetsie Tailroad on the Saturday we were there and the house was close enough to many different places. September 3rd was my 38th birthday and mySon and I went to enjoy the amenities that the community offered. We rode the paddle boats and walked the trails and he enjoyed the playground. It was overall a memorable and special weekend and we thank you so much for making it possible. Hope to visit again soon. ##### Sara B.
