Me and my girlfriend had an amazing stay!!! Beautiful place with a beautiful view!! The host was super accommodating and very responsive. The snow just made the experience even better!! definitely would stay here again!
The cabin was great!!! Highly recommend!!! It has everything that you could think of to make you comfortable. The property is great with the stream and a small waterfall. Very private and peaceful getaway.
Peaceful cabin with a beautiful location with a stream right out the back door. Close to great little towns and not far from great attractions. Great place to rest and relax.
Quaint little cabin . Perfect for a couple as the bedroom is a loft room not a separate private room. The cabin inside was very clean. The screened in porch needs some attention. It really needs a good power washing and a new screen door. The creek and setting of the cabin is picture perfect. Enjoyed our stay.
We had a great stay at this little cabin. It’s just off a small creek, which I think they call a river, that is stocked with trout. We didn’t fish but all the equipment was available for use if we wanted. There wasn’t any cel service so make sure you print out the directions on how to get there and how to get in before you get there. Once you’re there though the WiFi was great if you do need to make a call. There was a slight communication error on our dates but the owner was very responsive and made sure we were taken care of. We had a great experience
If you want a relaxing mountain stay, this cabin is the one. The owner has put much thought into what you may need. I would definitely stay here again in the future and will recommend it to others.
Great location and very cute cabin. Enjoyed our stay just didn’t have enough time at the cabin. Well stocked. Very clean. Great for weekend getaway or a long week. Would definitely stay at again!
The location was better than I expected. The cabin was just right for us. The fishing was great and the screened in porch was a delight for evening dinners. This was the perfect weekend getaway.
We booked the trout retreat as a long weekend getaway. This was just before a crippling winter storm hit most of the southeast. The manager’s communication with us in the days leading up to our arrival was excellent, including keeping us informed on the maintenance status of the hot tub, as well as offering provisions and concessions ahead of the winter storm. When we arrived, everything was as advertised. There was plenty of cookware, glassware, and utensils for us to eat in for all of our meals.Everything was clean, tidy, and in order. Our stay was during extreme cold temperatures, and this led to a large temperature differential between downstairs and the loft where we slept. There were plenty of towels, soap and shampoo supplied. There was a dedicated hot tub towel basket with plenty of towels. We used the laundry facility downstairs and that worked great also.We experienced issues with the hot tub being overheated, but there was maintenance staff on site when we arrived installing a part they had just received that afternoon. This leads me to believe that if there wasn’t a large snowstorm, preventing a technician getting to the house, arrangements would have been made to repair the hot tub immediately. In other words everyone was very responsive and even made accommodations for us to use the guest house hot tub instead.Lastly and most meaningfully to us, given the roads were really bad the day of our departure, our hosts worked with us on departure time.
Beautiful piece of property with a great view of the stream from the screened back porch. The road in front of the house had more traffic than we expected but wasn’t bad and we enjoyed being out in the mountains. The second cabin on the property is quite close and was great for us since we brought our parents. Gave us both privacy yet the convenience of being together when we wanted. Both cabins were furnished well and decorated cute. We did encounter an issue that was disappointing but the owner was so prompt to reply and manage the situation for which we were grateful. We would definitely stay there again.
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin, it was the perfect size for the two of us and our furry son. It was tastefully decorated with plenty of towels and extra linens. Communications with the property manager were very good. However, there are several maintenance issues/items that need to be taken care of. Also, the cabin is a lot closer to the main road than we thought.
Cabin was very nice and comfortable. We enjoyed the porch and hot tub and the sounds of the creek was very peaceful. We had a awesome time. Owner was very responsive and helpful.
We love this cabin and the sound of the creek is wonderful & relaxing!! The kitchen is full of what you would need to cook a meal, even a crockpot. Plenty of hot tub towels are available and a propane grill on the deck for a cookout. This is a great place to unwind.
We enjoyed the weekend at this very nice, clean cabin. The location on the stream and the screened porch were perfect to get away from the everyday stress, not to mention a great hot tub under the stars. Awesome way to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We would definitely stay again.
We enjoyed our stay. It was quiet & peaceful, the creek & surrounding area was beautiful. We like to walk & found the road to be safe & walkable. The hot tub was clean & very relaxing. Bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the gas fireplace & the fire pit outside. Would stay here again for sure!
We enjoyed our time there with our young family, we had stayed before but wanted to return in the summer and we are glad we did. We had the most fun playing in the creek and the cabin was clean like last the time we stayed.
We loved our stay at the trout retreat! Cabin was adorable and rustic. Kitchen was well equipped (one of the better VRBO kitchens we’ve had!). Me, my son and our dog loved the stream and had a blast playing, floating, bumping and fishing. Would definitely stay here again!
We loved the cabin! The road to get in is quite long and winding, but it’s worth it when you get there. It’s a picturesque mountain cabin on a stream. We hope to return again!
