"Good location walking distance to ancient city wall and subway station Nan Shao Men. Supermarket and eating places are right downstairs. "Sofitel on Renmin Square exceeded our expectations in the quality and spaciousness of the room: for example, it had two toilets and a seperate Tub/Shower arrangement). It also exceeded our expectations in the breakfasts and the ambiance of the dining room. Additionally, all of the staff (expecially Leo the concierge) made us feel welcomed and were warm and friendly. Our stay at Sofitel Xian was a delight and an unexpected highlight of our 4 night stay in the city."

"The location is very good and there is a wide range of food at breakfast Buffett, including Chinese and western cuisine. The room is outdated a bit but clean. I reserved a city view room but was given a room with sort of garden view. When I asked the hotel staff, I was told that the room with city view is generally noisy and it really sounds like an excuse. I just hoped that when checking in, they should’ve made it clear to me."
