It was clean. A smell was in the hallway that was not pleasant. It (the smell) did not get in our room. The outside door was broken. Anyone could get in from outside, I didn't care for that at all

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend Within just an hour of checking into the Super 8 in Middleton, Ohio, we received a rude phone call from the front desk YELLING at us to stop walking around because our room was above their office. This was incredibly unprofessional and upsetting—especially considering our children were sitting quietly eating their dinner. We had already emphasized to them the importance of being quiet since it was late, and they were doing an excellent job. On top of that, we discovered several dead bugs in the room, and there was no remote for the TV. When we went to the front desk to ask for one, we were told to just “find a button” because they didn’t have any remotes available. 10/10 do not recommend staying here. Honorable mention to Expedia for stepping in and trying to help resolve the issues—unlike the hotel staff

The staff was very nice. I think the main area in need of improvement is the laundry service, in terms of using more bleach to remove stains from the towels, and making sure the bedding is well washed. I respectfully shared this with a staff member, and he received the suggestion well. I'm glad that we were able to save about $70/night by staying there rather than at another comparable place about 15 minutes away.
