Daxueshan National Forest Recreation Area Holidays from £949

Good price, good location & good size of the room, but soundproofing needs improvement.

Hotel is showing its age. I don’t know why but the housekeeper came in cleaned, took my garbage and whipped it into the corner of the room and left it there. I came back and was shocked lol. Other than that the wallpapers coming off. Window areas aren’t cleaned properly. It’s alright if you need a place to sleep.

I have stayed at the Tempus many many times since it opened and the Landis which occupied the same property previously. This hotel is getting dated and not well maintained. There was an obvious large water leak on my floor with a musty smell and damaged carpet and their solution was to partially cover the large spill with two outdoor rugs that only partially covered the leak. For 10 days nobody attempted to clean the spill or remediate the musty odors. Cost cutting is obvious. The breakfast buffet is subpar compared to other hotels nearby. They don't offer hand soap in the rooms anymore - they just told me to go in the shower and get some from in there.. what??! We had to cut our stay short by 2 days due to the approach of Super Typhoon Champi (the worldwide largest storm of 2026 - which shut down the whole island literally, and cancelled hundreds of flights including ours) When speaking with the hotel about why we were shortening our stay the smug girl behind the desk told us that we needed to wait for the official government announcement for them to refund the days we were leaving. Ridiculous given the obvious situation. I won't stay here again.
