The lake is typically near full pool—great for boating, swimming, and dock access. • April – Mid-May & Mid-September – October: Transitional months. Water levels rise in spring and begin lowering in fall. Conditions are still scenic and enjoyable, especially for fishing and views. • November – March: Low-water season. The lake is drawn down for flood control, so dock access and boating are limited. This is a quieter time focused on views, fireside relaxation, and nearby Smoky Mountain attractions. Getting Around: We always recommend a 4x4 drive for anywhere in the Great Smoky Mountains. The cabin features paved roads all the way, and with no inclement weather, any car should be fine. However, we recommend 4x4 wheel drive when visiting the area. Secure your belongings and always lock vehicle doors. • We have monthly pest control at all of our cabins. Being in the Great Smoky Mountains, we are surrounded by nature and wildlife. Ladybugs, millipedes, and other insects can be difficult to combat around this time of year, even with our constant pest control program in place. It is not uncommon to see them occur in and around the cabin/condo, especially with the opening and closing of doors. This is extremely common for the area and all cabins/condos. • Being in the mountains, wind can sometimes blow leaves, dirt, or other natural debris into the hot tub. The hot tub has been drained and cleaned to ensure it’s ready for use.
