This home, on what is affectionately called California's Riviera, in the exclusive gated community of Beach Road, provides privacy and seclusion not commonly associated with beachfront property. It is just a short ride to great restaurants in Dana Point and San Clemente, as it is between these two seaside communities. It is less than 45 miles from the airport and minutes from the train station. Learning experiences abound at nearby San Juan Capistrano Mission or Dana Point Harbor Ocean Institute. Proximity to famous theme parks such as Disneyland, Knottsberry Farm, SeaWorld, and the San Diego Zoo makes it easy to create a memorable day's adventure. This lower-level property features a deck with a sweeping ocean view. High-top stools at the kitchen bar make eating together easy, especially with additional seating on the deck. Here, you can come to relax and ride bicycles along the coast path to Dana Point Harbor. Have a barbecue family dinner on the deck and watch the sunset, then enjoy the emerging starlit skies. Relax and reconnect as you bask in the magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean and enjoy the refreshing breezes. THINGS TO KNOW The house is priced appropriately for its current condition as a rental property in the gated beachfront community. The beach area is subject to change due to tidal conditions. Beachfront properties are exposed to harsh daily conditions from the salt air and sand, so please ensure you are comfortable with this before booking. We cannot guarantee the condition of the sand or the access point to the beach. Due to the moderate coastal climate, this house, like most in the area, does not have air conditioning. The property has two condos, and can be rented together. Both units share parking and beach access. There is no garage access. Please note the unit does not have a working dishwasher. The Amtrak runs along the active railroad track opposite Beach Rd and the Pacific Coast Highway. This home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is only suitable for quieter groups. Our rental agreement includes a no-tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy, and parties. Deposit forfeitures and evictions are strictly enforced. Please ensure you are comfortable with these policies before renting. We cannot guarantee the sand's condition or the beach's access point. Beachfront properties face harsh conditions. As such, the beach area is subject to change due to tidal conditions. Reservations for this home will not be refunded if canceled within 60 days of arrival. This property is managed by Vacasa Seasonals Inc. and may require a Security Deposit. DRE: 02160171. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Overall, our stay at Tommy Bahama was wonderful. The beds/pillows/linens/towels were very clean and comfortable. The view was absolutely breathtaking. The kids had so much fun playing in the sand and having access to the beach. It was unfortunate that the dishwasher was broken and the freezer was frozen over so it leaked the entire time we were there. We notified Vacasa and they are aware. The Wifi was in and out the entire time we were there - luckily we didn't have to work but it was frustrating when we wanted to watch something. Seven of us fit comfortably. We had no issues with getting through security and getting in the unit itself. Even had some food delivered with no issues. Overall the house was clean and comfortable but could use a little tlc. The photos of the backyard need to be updated as the furniture is a bit different and there is a fence along the back edge of the yard. It was hard to tell if the fence was a work in progress or not (if not, then it could really use some paint to make it more esthetically pleasing). There were plenty of beach towels. The kitchen is not stocked at all for preparing and eating in. There were no spices, hot pads, basics at all. There were only two kitchen towels and no dish rags. We ran out of paper towel, dish soap and garbage bags. Just poorly stocked. The tv is spotty, it kept freezing up. The house could really use a good scrub and update. ##### Michael M. We specifically wanted a beachfront rental which this is. I will list the few pros first Loved the access to the beach right from the patio. Loved that there are 3 full size bathrooms (which looked modern and remodeled ) and accommodate a big family. Beds were comfortable. The house itself is a nice size and does fit comfortably a large family. Cons- all the furniture is very old and wobbly, not enough TV’s, not enough bath towels , no extra blankets so bring a couple if you’re coming with a big family. The kitchen doesn’t have enough pots and pans, not enough paper towels or toilet paper so bring a couple of each with you. Wifi is horrible, we could never watch anything on tv in the living room. I hope owners will take some of this into consideration for the next guests. ##### Veronica G. Although the furniture needs updating, the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the view, the fire pit and sound of waves. The property is bigger than anticipated. The only downside was the upper unit occupants. First morning, they were dragging furniture and luggage non stop up and down stairs starting at 6:30am. Very disruptive. We thought our second morning would be peaceful since they left, but nope, another family arrived with little ones running and banging on top of our heads since 6am!! Definitely not the peaceful weekend we were looking for. Maybe upper unit should have a clause to be more respectful and mindful of lower unit tenants!
