This place far exceeded my expectations for a 3 star & the price of the hotel/homestay. It’s brand new, everything is clean, modern & nice. I would highly recommend. I do through research & this by far the best value for money accommodation which is nice & in a good location in Hoi An. We ended up extending our stay for 2 more nights - partly because the hotel was lovely but mostly because Hoi An is so gorgeous. Pros: - Location! You are in the centre of HoiAn - a 5 min stroll to the old town. Located near the river, approx 25m from the night market, a 5 minute walk to the Japanese bridge. Loads of restaurants & bars in the area. PS. It’s not noisy near the market market as the hotel is 25m down a side street, also the market it’s closes up at 10pm. - Strong WiFi & Air Con - Super comfy beds/pillows with crisp white sheets. - Variety of rooms ... when we arrived we were also shown a nicer room than we had booked, it was much larger & had a lovely view. We were asked if we wanted to upgrade... it was only 5 USD more per night so we jumped at the opportunity. We were not pressured into this, it was complexly our choice. - Super Staff! The owner sat us down for 10 mins, gave us a map & located key attractions on the map for us. She also recommended a Tailor & showed us some tours that were available in the areas. We didn’t book any of these so can’t comment on this. We had the loveliest time staying at Lantern Riverside! The location was perfect, and the room was cozy and clean. Our host was so wonderful and nothing was ever a problem to organise for us, even at short notice. eg: bicycle hire, day trips, car drivers, laundry wash, dried and folded. She totally made our stay all the more enjoy with her warm and welcoming personality. Clean. Nice staff and helpful. But breakfast is not what you think of hotell breakfast. They make you eggs or panckake when you wake up. Pretty ok I geuss. Our room was unfortunately extremly small for 3 ppl. We didnt have anywhere to move inside the room and our luggage was taking the little place that was round our beds. The sheets felt wet but they weren't reallly wet...bcuz the humidity they strongly felt cold and wet. Men rolig sted inn i en sidegate. Skål med fskj godterier i resepsjonen. Man får ikke flaskevann. Men kan forsyne seg fra beholder ved inngangen.Bra renhold med nye håndklær og tannbørster hver dag. Ut fra bildene fra hotellet trodde vi at vi fikk et 3 mannsrom med balkong. Så ble ganske skuffet da rommet var svært lite og uten utsikt ig balkong. Men balkongene ser svært små ut. Trodde vi fikk dusj kabinett . Istedet var dusjen rett ved WC og vått over hele gulvet hele tiden! Byrde vært mulig å få tørket gulvet når en hadde dusjet! Men vi vente oss til dette og frokosten var enkel men god og man kan også få deilige smoothier til frokost! Super clean room. There was no hot water ever during my 3 days stay. Laundry service—- laundry was hung out to dry during a pretty pad storm. Thebclothes were hung in a closed area but my clothes were folded and bagged up and returned to me very damp. Without a word said. Damp enough that I had to hang them at my new hotel to prevent mildew. Breakfast was supppsed to be included but was never mentioned to me. A couple were eating breakfast on my last morning and I asked if I could have some and was initially told no. /: after a phone call the young girl said I could eat. No big deal I guess but a little off putting and someone should have told me my clothes were still wet. Although you don’t get the noise from the night market, it can get quite noisy with the chickens in the morning and dogs barking at night nearby and just generally when people are talking (I was on the 1st floor) and the walls are quite thin. Good wi-fi and the room was clean. The bathroom is a wet room with shower and hot water can be a little temperamental. Air conditioning was great. The trips booked with the host was good, especially recommend the cookery class tour. Although the trip to My Son felt a little rushed. The tour guide herded you through all the sites without much opportunity to explore and take photos etc. other than a perfunctory 10-15mins.
