The moment you stepped down the first basement level, you could smell the stinky odor from the pipe. The room and bathroom were smaller than the other two rooms of the same pricing. When we complained since this room was not the same quality, the receptist refused to assist. So be aware when you book - they have 3 rooms in the basement. Note, however, that we had a room at the back of the hotel, so it was quiet compared to those closer to the street, what with all the horns - particularly the bus horns. The windows in the room sealed well, and the temperature was such that we were comfortable with the window closed, a relief considering no air conditioning. The room was a reasonable size, and the double bed conducive to a good night's sleep. The bathroom was on the smaller side, but entirely accurate. The hotel was renovated in 2015, so is in good shape. We had a double room with a rooftop terrace which was basic but spacious. The staff are super friendly & helpful. The staff are friendly & helpful to provide information for us to move around Dalat town. As there are three Tulip hotels you must tell taxi driver which one it is (#1). We had a huge room that overlooked the street with a busy pastry shop across the street. The floors are high polished tile and are slippery when wet - be careful in shower!
