They are great hosts, so friendly and helpful. Their house, perfectly hidden at the foot of the mountains, is a perfectly restored historic baglio; you‘ll discover their passion and dedication to the house and the farm in every detail. It is surrounded by an enormous garden of olives, orange trees and so much more. It has a splendid view over the entire golfo di cofano and it is an absolut quiet and peaceful place. Il posto è un paradiso, collocato in una posizione eccezionale da cui si può contemplare l'insenatura che dal monte Cofano arriva fino alla punta di San Vito Lo Capo. Il B&B è immerso nella natura fra tantissimi ulivi, fichi d'india, carrubi e tipica macchia mediterranea. L'accoglienza dei proprietari, Marcello e Magda, è stata molto calorosa. Ogni mattina potevamo fare colazione con marmellate e ciambelle fatti in casa, latte e caffè o tè ed un succo preparato da Magda a base di fichi d'india che era qualcosa di superlativo. Il loro adorabile cane Balù, tanto grande quanto buono, ci teneva tanta compagnia. Grazie mille Marcello e Magda per l'ospitalità e per riuscire a mantenere intatto ed autentico un piccolo pezzo di Sicilia dove speriamo di tornare molto presto. The hidden mansion in the foothils of the mountains has a fantastic view over the bay between Monte Cofano and San Vito lo Capo. Besides the fantastic location the hosts are very friendly and prepared to support your vacation in every possible way. The rooms are clean and spacious. The balcony (we had the room in the first floor) is perfect for sitting and enjoying the beautiful views. The area around the domicile is filled with all kinds of cultural, culinarian and natural highlights. Nice restaurants in the nearby Macari and in San Vito lo Capo. San Vito also has a beautiful sandy beach with cristal clear water. The Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro is a wonderful hike and the traces of Magna Graeca on the island like in Segesta or Selinunte are just amazing. Also do not miss the monastery of Monreale close to Palermo. Definitely a great recommendation to spend a vacation between culture and leisure on Sicily! ##### Jürgen K. The place is lovely and very quiet surrounded by nature with a splendid sea view and the pictures can not convey the real beauty of that place. Although the reception was amazing, Marcello was very courteous and helpful. Le "Baglio" est exclusivement bien situé à flanc de colline au milieu de la nature, à une certaine distance du village. L'ensemble de bâtiments s'intègre parfaitement dans le paysage et s’accord bien avec l'environnement. Discret piste mène à travers les oliviers jusqu'à une maison en pierre avec un toit brun-rouge, qui semblait à fusionner avec la chaîne de montagnes. Marcello et Magda ont construit leur maison de rêve, mais tous les hôtes ont la chance de partager le plaisir d’en séjourner. La maison rustique est charmante, chaque détail de l'intérieur pensé et sélectionné avec le sens de style, de l’époque. De toute place de la ferme s’ouvrent les vues magnifiques sur les montagnes, la mer et les environs qu’on peu observer à tout moment de la journée. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et sociables. Ils sont adorables pour les enfants et les soignent très bien (en particulier Magda qui peut trouver le chemin vers le cœur de chaque enfant). Marcello et Magda propose à ses clients non seulement le séjour, mais aussi les dîners merveilleux: la cuisine de famille typiquement sicilienne, préparés de produits naturels, dont la plupart pousse sur la ferme (ils cultivent beaucoup de fruits et légumes, produisent l’huile d'olive). Position de la maison est parfaite pour découvrir la Sicile occidentale: Réserve de Zingaro, Scopello, Erice, Trapani, Palerme (+ Monreale), Ségeste, etc. Sinon, on peut tout simplement s’allonger sur la plage à cote (pour ca on peut prendre le "train" qui marche le long de la côte et lequel les touristes aiment beaucoup) ou bien profiter de possibilités de ballades. Fermez les yeux et imaginez une maison en pierre adossée à la montagne qui plonge dans la mer, au milieu des oliviers, des figuiers de barabarie, des caroubiers et des agrumes... Le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse est idylique : vue imprenable sur toute la baie, mer d'huile et silence absolue. Toute la maison typiquement sicilienne a été construite récemment et aménagée avec beaucoup de rafinement. Une grande chambre pour 4 personnes au 1er étage possède même une terrasse couverte. Mais la plus grande richesse de cet endroi c'est Marcello. C'est une homme incroyable qui adore son pays, la Sicile, et qui vous en parlera en passion (et dans toutes les langues ! Il parle Français, Anglais, Espagnol, Portugais). Marcello c'est aussi un excellent cuisinier, un amoureux de la nature, un grand voyageur avec qui on peut refaire le monde et partager un beau moment de vie ! Enfin le bagglio est idéalement situé pour visiter la partie occidentale de l'ile : Trapani, Erice, Réserve de Zingaro, Mozia et ses Salines, Ségeste et Scopello en moins d'1 h et même Palerme à 1 h 30\. Il ne faut pas oublier non plus les 3 générations de chiens qui participent à la douceur des lieux : Poupie (la mamie), Chicha (la mama), et les 2 petits Alane et Lucia ! Le propriétaire M. Marcello possède d'excellentes connaissances locales, est lui-même tout à fait un cuisinier d'exception et généralement pris soin de nous bien. La maison est nouvellement construit, mais construit avec soin dans un style d'époque reflétant la Sicile comme vous voulez qu'il ne regarde. Les chambres sont décorées avec soin, rustique, avec un sens du style. Plusieurs petites criques pour la baignade sont environ 20 minutes en marchant, si vous avez une voiture, vous pouvez accéder à toute la région magnifique à quelques minutes. Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit comme un calme, belle base pour retourner dans votre exploration de la partie occidentale de la Sicile. Aussi la région offre l'occasion idéale pour la marche, la randonnée, l'escalade ou glander plage juste. Je tiens donc à le remercier par ce message car il a pu nous aider pour de la traduction lors d'un problème sur la voiture de location, nous indiquer les plus jolis lieux siciliens à visiter et nous apporter des informations utilies sur la Sicile quant aux moeurs et habitudes! Leur maison est magnifique et restaurée avec beaucoup de gout, leur accueil est chaleureux et authentique, y diner est un vrai délice parce que Magda cuisine superbement avec les produits qu'ils cultivent ou pêchent et parce que la vue est splendide et paisible. C'est une étape indispensable pour les voyageurs contemplatifs qui se dirigent vers la côte ouest de la Sicile. Les porprietaires sont gentils, agréables, discrets et adorables pour les enfants. Leurs chiens Chicha et Poupie sont drôles. La maison est installé avec beaucoup de gout, la terrase est entouré de oliviers et cactusses où on petit déjeune dans l'ombrages des feuilles de vignes. Mais surtout la vue est grandiose: une mer bleu limpique et des collines rocheuses. Si on veut plus d'indéppendance, on peut louer la petite maison qui se trouve un peu plus bas sur leur terrain d'oliviers. Beacuoup de belles choses à voir dans les entourages et le village balneaires San Vito di Capo se trouve à 15 minutes de voiture. ##### Julie V. La maison typique(conforme à la description,est très bien située avec vue sur la mer, au calme, très dépaysant. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour et rêvons déjà d'y retourner.... Bien sûr il faut une voiture car c'est un petit retiré dans la campagne, mais beaucoup d'excursions à proximité.
