It’s a nice enough place with great staff , clean spacious rooms, decent breakfast. Very good location within easy walk to shopping, restaurants, etc. Only issue was inconsistent hotwater in shower and basin

Did like the customer service at front desk I paid the bill in total at checkin and at check they wanted me to pay additional 10 dollars for room tax which she forgot to add when I checked in and paid in full the hotel did not want to waiver the fee I spoke to hotel manager and he insisted I had to pay it so I met them half way I paid 5 dollars not a good experience ☹️

Lost reservation. I proved thru email that I saved that I had a confirmed reservation. I called and emailed the night before for a confirmation! They smerked when they realised that they got caught. I suspect holiday weekend and they hoped they could drop a few reservations and get new ones at a higher price (practically their words). 2 of 2 elevators broken. No hot water. Four requests over 24 + hours for toilet paper. Mostly, nice sympathetic front desk. Simple and somewhat clean and well located.

This hotel is in the heart of Cuenca's historic district. Close to shopping, resturants and local attractions. The staff is very curteous and helpful and the front desk clerk spoke very good english. The room was large, clean and had a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was a hot and cold buffet with many choices and hot fresh brewed coffee. Parking was additional but convient and car was available 24 hous a day. Lastly this is the best hotel deal we have found in Cuenca

This hotel is in desperate need of makeover, room rugs were discustingly dirty, walls were dirty, bed comforter old and dirty looking, towels were old and fraying, terrible experience

Clean hotel in the center of Cuenca
Hotel Presidente is a wonderful option for the price. The bed was comfortable, the showers hot, the wifi fast, and the rooms clean. The front desk was super helpful and friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was simple and delicious (eggs, pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, toast, fresh juice, coffee/tea) with nice views. You're just a few blocks away from the central plaza and all that Cuenca has to offer.

Close to downtown
Found the staff very friendly and helpful. Need major renovations to bring it up to North American standards. Strategically, close to downtown...The Trolley it's (will be soon) right at the front door and within walking distance to many place to see and eat.

Good Choice
This was our second stay in the course of one week. We stayed again because the hotel is within walking distance of the main square, museums, sightseeing bus and assorted restaurants. It offers a nice, included breakfast. The tram is currently under construction in front, but once completed the area will be even better.

The hotel arranged for me to be collected from my condo and taken to the hotel right on schedule. Attention to details is what makes this hotel very special. The best king sized bed I have slept on my entire life. Two top notch dinners in the dining room. Etc. etc.

Great Hotel
We spent one night at Hotel Presidente and enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome immediately. Our room was clean and very comfortable. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant and the breakfast the next morning was wonderful. We highly recommend this hotel.

The Hotel Staff was very kind and friendly. They really make an effort to help us. The hotel restaurant is good. Nice, clean accomodations. We felt safe in the area.

Needs work
I had a bad experience. My room was not clean, bathroom was horrible and the breakfast was lousy. I ignored these problems until one of the restuarant's server was very rude to me. That was the last straw. When I complained to management they were actually very attentive and tried to fix everything. They even gave me one night free but the experience left me with a bad feeling :(

Es muy caro comparado con las facilidades del hotel, es muy viejo, las instalaciones de los baños, las habitaciones en sí son viejas, para lo que se paga, realmente no vale la pena recomendar. Hemos estado en hoteles mucho más baratos con excelentes servicios.
