"The lodge is beautiful in very peaceful area, it was very clean with everything we needed. We used it mainly for a base as we were traveling so only really slept there. The lodge is situated between 2 other properties and would benefit ( I’m my opinion) with blinds on all lower windows. The bed is very comfortable but a bit on the narrow side. "The staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and modern. Breakfast was great. I'd have appreciated if the coffee/hot drinks machine was still in use in the evening as my girlfriend enjoys a hot chocolate in the evening but the coffee/hot chocolate machine in the dining are was locked away. So we had to head out to a cafe that was open late."

"The room itself was impressive and very comfortable. However, the soundproofing wasn’t great — we were woken at 5am by the room above having a shower; it genuinely sounded so close it felt like the water was coming through the ceiling! It may not be an issue for everyone, but there were a lot of stairs and the room wasn’t located in the main hotel building. This meant going outside to access the bar and restaurant, and unfortunately getting wet in the process. I would have preferred the option of staying in the main part of the hotel. Breakfast was adequate, although I was given a decaf coffee instead of the tea I had ordered. On a positive note, the view of the castle was absolutely amazing and really made up for the inconveniences. The spa facilities were good, although we weren’t provided with robes in he room whereas other guests appeared to have them, which was slightly disappointing."
