"In need of a refurbishment, hotel is very tired looking and not very clean. The skirting boards were thick of dust, the wardrobe smelt foisty when opened. The bathroom was very poor quality and looked like it had seen better days. The food was ok but very overpriced for the quality, £20 for fish and chips, which were on a par with Wetherspoons!!! Will not return. One good thing was the staff, they were very polite, welcoming and friendly"

"Very impressed with the hotel. Staff were great as was the breakfast. Had a 2nd floor double room in the courtyard, which was spacious and very quiet which I liked. It was a little cool in the room but had a sufficient wall heater to help with that. Very nice modern bathroom and shower. Very grand building and the spa & pool which looked amazing and very inviting but didn’t have time to use. Family friendly and busy whilst I was there. Would recommend a stay here to my friends "
