"The villa is just off the road (highway) connecting west and east side of island. Enough out of town to make you feel like you're in the jungle. The birds and lizards are super cool too see and hear as you eat the breakfast made by the onsite chef and brought to your villa in the morning. The host was really great at getting us everything we needed such as rental car, ebikes, suggestions on the island and activities. The villa itself was so clean and with the a/c was very comfortable. "Did NOT like that they don’t have A/C in ANY of the eating areas….. being the weather very hot it was uncomfortable eating while sweating 😓!!!!! No air conditioning including the “specialty restaurants”!!!!"
InterContinental Presidente Cozumel Resort Spa by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"I almost did not stay here because the Cancún Presidente so far below standard, but I am very I did and plan to make it an annual Father’s Day weekend trip with my girls. Room was luxurious and immaculate, every single staff member went above and beyond and were genuinely kind people and great with my daughters. This hotel is particularly family friendly. Spa/pool area/restaurants all top level. Thank you all and see you soon."
"Not so Good.....
Ask about the restaurants, as they only had two open. The main international one had practically the same food every day. Their Mediterranean food place was closed the entire time we were there, which sucked. Ask about that.
I got really sick one day with the food.
The place is beautiful but isolated too far to walk anyplace except their nearby restaurant that we had access too although it is for adults only.
You have to rent a car or pay $50 one way to the downtown markets to a taxi.
Some of the things in our room did not work (blow dryer, the steamer).
TV was mostly Spanish.
The little pool area by the rooms that we paid extra for were not very clean.
Initially, our bed sheets seemed dirty, but it may have been because they were old, so I requested they be changed.
On the good side.............
Room is a nice large size, bed was super comfortable.
Small refridgerator is always nicely stacked with beer, sodas, water, etc.
Most of the staff was friendly and willing to assist.
Place is really nice, grounds look great, maintained, housekeepers come everyday to clean the room.
Beach access and snorkeling available onsite.
Transportation, although pricey is readily available."
Secrets Aura Cozumel - Adults Only - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"The first thing you notice is how secure this location is. Nobody gets in or out without a room number. There are no people selling you things walking around the beach and the exclusiveness part of this all inclusive is great.
While other beaches on the other side of the island are not clean due to the sea weed, this beach is very well maintained and raked daily. We loved the variety of three different pools. The resort grounds are very clean.
Our ocean view room had a great view and balcony. We also loved our rain head shower. The room was a bit dated, but the outstanding Service made up for it.
For example, Samuel, our guest services person in the lobby, answered all of our questions and took care of us. Moises was an exceptional waiter for breakfast at the market café. All the food was very good. We have stayed at other places and can’t say that. At the Oceana restaurant. Alejandro was a fantastic waiter. The pool waiters and waitresses were always on top of getting a strings. We overall had a wonderful week.
Pro tip- if you go to sleep early say before 10 PM make sure your room is far away from the live music and karaoke that they have for entertainment."
"The landscape was beautiful. It had a very tropical feel to it. The food was good and the rooms were big and clean. The sand on beach was great but it is all rocks getting into the water. You can walk to the pier to get into the water but I didn’t want to walk that far. That was the only thing I was disappointed with on this trip. We were there 12 days. Very nice overall!"
"Our room was cleaned daily and the staff were always willing to provide any extra towels needed. You can also use the Park Royal app to ask for guest room services, maintenance issues and order room service. The staff was very friendly around the entire resort. The main pool is under construction but the two pools open are right off the beach and give you an ocean view. There are 3 bars for the pools and beach. The food was fine. The best restaurant was El Pescador (seafood). You can walk to some very nice restaurants off the resort. IX Kool, Coco Cafe, Sunset Bar were all very good. Take short ($15) taxi ride to downtown Cozumel and check out That’s Amore Pizza and Thirsty Cougar!"
"I loved staying here! I came to do diving at the dive shop on site and it was perfect. The room was AMAZING and massive! The shower was so perfect and I had an amazing view of the beach.
They have an all inclusive option but decided not to do it bc was out all day with diving. The restaurant on site was really good for dinner, and also tried breakfast one of the mornings.
The hotel beach is sooo pretty, and you can watch the sunset from there, and you can also snorkel with lots of colorful fish!
The dive shop was great, the guys there were really good and helpful, very nice and experienced dive masters and just overall a good time! I felt safe the whole time. Def recommend staying here if you want to go diving in Cozumel. I can’t wait to come back!"
