Hôtel AKENA TROYES - La Chapelle-Saint-Luc

10/10 Excellent

"This hotel is a great choice if you are looking for a comfortable room, good breakfast and friendly staff. Everything was very clean and well maintained. I will look for more Akena hotels in the future."

Kyriad Troyes Centre

10/10 Excellent

"Great hotel, reasonable and convenient with good amenities and lovely staff. Will be coming back again soon!"

Best Western Premier Hotel de la Poste & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"The breakfast was outstanding, right down to the cloth napkins. Great choice of breads, cheeses, and more conventional breakfast items. There were smoked salmon and specialty meats. There were machines for expressos, and custom prepared coffees. I just wish I had a bigger appetite in the morning! The bed was fantastic: firm but with a soft padding. The staff was professional and took an interest in the customer experience. Nicolas helped me when I checked in. I had a problem with my room. I went back downstairs. And told Nicolas; he immediately offered to switch my room to an identical one above the current one. I was pleasantly surprised to realize that his concern was with my comfort and satisfaction. Also the hostess in the breakfast room was great. She listened to me and made the exact coffee I wanted. And she remembered the next two days without being reminded. Unfortunately I didn’t get her name."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Courtenot?

The best area to stay in Courtenot is within the village centre itself, particularly around the church and the main square.Courtenot is a small, quiet village in the Grand Est region, so the 'centre' is quite compact. You'll find a handful of local amenities, such as a bakery and a simple restaurant, located along its main street, Rue de la Mairie. The village is characterised by its traditional stone houses and the historic Église Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens, which often serves as a central landmark. For couples seeking a peaceful retreat, staying directly within Courtenot offers a delightful experience. You can enjoy quiet walks through the village, experience local life, and use it as a calm base for exploring the surrounding Champagne vineyards and the Forêt d'Othe. It's great for those who appreciate a slower pace and authentic French village life.Families looking for a relaxed holiday will also find Courtenot appealing. The village setting provides a tranquil environment for children to explore safely, and many local gites or holiday rentals offer ample space and gardens.

When is the best time to go to Courtenot?

The best time to visit Courtenot is during the spring (late April to early June) and autumn (September to October) months.Spring in Courtenot brings pleasant weather, with temperatures typically ranging from 15°C to 20°C. The countryside is lush and green, and the vineyards begin to flourish, making it an ideal time for leisurely walks or cycling trips through the scenic landscapes. This period is particularly good for couples looking for a romantic escape, as the gentle weather allows for comfortable exploration of the local villages and outdoor activities.Autumn offers similarly mild temperatures, usually between 10°C and 18°C, and the added beauty of the changing leaf colours in the surrounding forests and vineyards. This is also the harvest season for grapes, offering a unique opportunity to experience local traditions and wine-related events. Families might find this time appealing for its cooler temperatures, which are suitable for outdoor adventures without the heat of summer, and the chance to see the agricultural rhythm of the region. While summer (July and August) can be warm, often exceeding 25°C, it's also a popular time, especially for those who enjoy warmer weather for outdoor activities.
