  • If you're seeing this page, it means you're probably looking for a riverside vacation property in the Smokies where you can go fishing without getting back in the car. Well, you found a pretty good one with Riverwood Cottage; one of several properties we have that are creekside and indeed allow for fishing!

    Riverwood is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom studio cabin that is built like its neighbor Cottage By The Creek. It is located within minutes of the Cosby Entrance to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Inside the cabin is a living room, full kitchen, a corner bedroom and, like its sister cabin, a two-person jacuzzi (green instead of red this time). The living room has a gas fireplace, cable/satellite television and high speed wireless internet. The kitchen amenities include microwave, toaster, coffee maker, oven, stove and cookware. Towels and linens are provided.

    If you enjoy the sound of a rushing creek just outside your window, you will love Riverwood Cottage!

    Please note that parking is limited for one vehicle only - no trailers, etc. This cabin requires a 200.00 damage deposit which is refundable upon inspection of the cabin and provided that no damages are found.

Property was as expected by the pictures. Nice and peaceful sitting out back hearing the water rush by. Was convenient getting to Gatlinburg for the day and cooking on the Blackstone was also fun and easy to clean.

I only stayed here two nights but it was just enough time to visit Dollywood and get a couple hikes in. Sitting by the creek and looking through the rocks completed the experience. The bed was comfortable and having cooking utensils in cabin made for quick breakfasts before starting the day.

Property was clean, convenient and cost effective. Amenities from the appliances fireplace and screened in porch were perfect for our needs. Exceeded expectations. The pictures don't do it justice. This place is amazing and close to everything yet away from everything to enjoy the peace and quiet...especially on the screened in porch. Cute cozy getaway

This place is easy to find, clean and well cared for. Sitting outside on the rocking chairs listening to the stream was great! I would suggested bringing a little blanket with you during the cooler months. We had such a wonderful peaceful trip. I would highly suggest this little cozy getaway.

A weekend away

My wife and I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at this cabin. We really loved our time at the cabin. It made us both want to move to Tennessee. It is secluded, yet close enough to Newport and Gatlinburg to be convenient for shopping and entertainment. We found a wonderful coffee shop nearby called “Our Place.” Overall, it was a wonderful day and I cannot wait to return.

Our cabin was exactly as described. While it is on the main road, once you go into the screened in back porch, the world melts away and all you can hear is the creek. The bed was comfortable and cozy. You're about 35 minutes away from everything, which makes it a great location. We will be back!
