Copper Village Museum & Arts Center

We paid $130.29 for 2 queen beds. The pictures on Hotel.com looked nice & so we signed up. Outside the place, it looked run down and you could check in only after 3 pm. We are 71 with bad knees & back, she gave us a 2nd floor room where you had to climb stairs to get to our room. We got our stuff to the room in 4 trips. We opened the door and we immediately felt we had over paid compated to places we stayed for around $100 in Sturgis & Hot Springs Super 8's. The mattress sunk in the middle and collapsed when you stay down. They may have been memory foam without the memory. We would have checked out but it probably was too late to get another motel. The flooring was uplifted at the seams. The bathroom was scary because we thought there were bugs on the floor before we turned the light. Once the light came on there were about 3 burn/cut marks on the floor and not bugs. The aged plastic baseboard molding was coming unglued. The next morning it was raining and we had to pack up. I tried to carry our cooler down the stairs and lucky I fell backwards onto the stairs. We regrouped and got the car packed up to head home. If our room is representative of all of the other rooms, it needs to be updated now. If not representative, is this where they place Hotel.com customers because the room was "discounted" at $130.29 a night.

This was a really great place to stay!!!

Bed sheets had holes. Room door had light from the hallway shining through the door jam. Shower curtain look to haven't been changed out. Dirty and stain. Did not shower. Stairs to the second floor was ripped and looked unfinished.
