The dome is great. It has a very comfortable bed and a cool shower! It was very quiet at night.Jim is a great hostWe enjoyed staying in the dome. I was a little uncertain about the surroundings when we pulled up, but found it to be a very nice place.
We enjoyed our stay. The dome is modern and well provisioned. The shower is truly amazing. The location is a bit funky but really close to a market, restaurants and beautiful beaches. We had a situation but Vrbo called the Host, Jim, and he immediately came and fixed things. Jim was awesome.
We love staying here!! This is the second time in less than a year! Such a nice little spot to hangout for the weekend. Always clean, and comfortable. The only gripe I have is the bed frame!! Watch your toes and your shins around the corners. This is the ONLY thing I would change about this place!! Thanks again for the place to crash for the weekend!
The 'dome' was unique, took a bit to figure out the shower, the 'neighborhood' was also unique, but watching the tides and clamming activities supplied an interesting addition to our daily routines! The supplied heaters and A/C units definitely added to our comfort! Having a real coffee maker was also a plus! Some have kuerigs or french presses, no thanks! A more comfortable chair would've been appreciated, but we survived with what was provided. Chowder from across the street was awesome compared to what we had at Portside restaurant, price and taste! Thanks again, hope the post-it notes we left were helpful! Jim & Barb Peters
This dome was a fun place to stay while in town for the Christmas lights. And glamping is a good way to describe it: the space is equipped with a capsule shower and a kitchenette stocked with complementary snacks and is nicely decorated, but there are no walls that go all the way up to the ceiling or door to the toilet. It is located in an RV park, but only steps away from a store and restaurants and only few minutes away from Share Acres.
The views are amazing! It was quiet throughout the night. We had such great time!
Such a clever different fun way to live for a change! Hwy was a bit noisy but the town shuts down by 9/10. Toilet was a bit tempermemtal but behaved in the end, shower was truly unique & enjoyable as well as the xtra comfy bed , layout, heat & a/c units and of COURSE the beautiful birds in the bay just a stones throw away! Near Sunset beach & several other GORGEOUS parks/beaches/views!
We stayed at this property for 3 days total and had a blast! The layout and set up couldn’t be better. The shower is super fun and the water is HOT! Bed is SUPER comfortable and linens were fresh. It’s in a little RV park that may seem rough at first, but once you’re in you’re around good people (Bill next door was so nice!!). There is a little road noise but that’s nothing that a sound machine on Spotify can’t fix! The host is responds quickly and is very friendly! You will not have a bad time staying here, we will be back soon!!
We had to change our original travel plans due to the Oregon fires and related smoke-filled air. I found this site on Vrbo and decided to give it a try. In our (far) younger days, we used to camp all the time. But we have become accustomed to good beds, indoor plumbing and other creature comforts. This was perfect - clean, modern, private and secure, with just a hint of camping and a great view!
The Coos Bay Dome offers a unique and comfortable glamping experience with beautiful views, a cozy bed, and great amenities. It’s clean, spacious, and well-heated, with a nice bathroom and a small kitchen stocked with snacks, coffee, and tea. The host was very responsive, making check-in and check-out seamless.Pros:•Very clean and well-maintained•Great location near the beach and a couple places to eat•Comfy bed & extra blankets for cold nights•Stylish bathroom & practical kitchenette•Heaters kept the dome warm even in freezing weatherCons:•WiFi didn’t work•Hot water runs out quickly•No doors between bedroom and bathroom•Some road noise, but earplugs helped, and the rain on the dome was relaxingOverall, a fantastic glamping stay if you don’t mind minor inconveniences. Highly recommended!
100/100! Had an amazing experience at the dome! We stayed one night for a mini-getaway. Check in was easy and the dome was super clean, cozy and beautiful decorated. The bed was SO comfy- we slept so well and if was just what we needed to relax after a 4 hour drive. The host thought of everything you might need - complimentary snacks, paper plates & cutlery, bottled water to use for coffee & tea, & plug-ins.They have an electric kettle and a real coffee pot which was great. It was nice having both heating and A/C available which kept us very comfortable. The view out the window was peaceful and beautiful - we saw lots of different birds. The dome is located in a small RV park behind a gift shop but we felt safe staying there and our neighbors were quiet. Please note that it is also located off of a main road so traffic can be a bit noisy until 9/10pm but it’s nothing some ear plugs or some white noise can’t fix if you are headed to bed early. We didn’t use the shower but it looked really neat! The toilet can be a little tricky but we figured it out. There is no door to the bathroom but it’s glamping and we didn’t mind. We can’t wait to return to this cozy hideaway! I’d honestly rather stay here than at a hotel.
Such a neat little spot! Very clean and well-maintained, and we loved the unique setup. Check-in and check-out process was very smooth. The host left complimentary snacks and water which was so thoughtful! We would recommend this to friends for sure.
