Lido di Volano, surrounded by a large pine forest, is the resort that best preserves a deep contact with nature. It is the northernmost resort on the Comacchio coastline and takes its name from a branch of the ancient course of the River Po. From here one can fully enjoy the beauties that privilege direct contact with unspoilt nature: the beaches, with their sandy shore comfortable for long walks and sunbathing, are protected by a large pine forest and look towards the great Po Delta and the Sacca di Goro. Today, the most intact of the seven Lidi boasts a modern marina near the bridge over the Volano. Due to its somewhat isolated position, but exposed to wind and sea currents, Lido di Volano is the centre of reference for somewhat unusual sports such as kite surfing and windsurfing.
