"Stay many places always about for business. Booked this short notice on the reviews being 8.5. I didn't experience 8.5 service! On arrival place fully locked up, sign on the door, list of names, room numbers and keys in each door. Help yourself attitude to the letter and list. I had room 7. Cleanish but a strong damp musty smell. Damp in the walls I suspect, carpet rotting or breaking up. Bit run down in places generally. I paid extra £10 a morning for breakfast. No where near worth the money,...

"This is a lovely cosy B&B. The breakfast was brilliant (smoked salmon plus home made marmalade) and service excellent too. My room was very spacious, one small point - the bathroom was so hot, even though I turned off the towel rail socket the rail was still roasting. I can really recommend for business stays around Corby. I'd love to bring my wife here for a short stay to explore Rutland. "

"Good points - very dog friendly, easily accessible shared garden area, comfy bed, powerful shower, excellent curry delivered from next door Niggles - large green light permanently on in the ceiling, flooded the whole room with a green glow that kept us awake. Very thin walls which are not great when the guests in the neighbouring room stay up until 2am, no ventilation (no window to open) so very stuffy even in December"
