The well-maintained house, located in a quiet neighborhood made a comfortable and convenient base for our adventures to nature sites we drive to on the other side of town. The games room made for an entertaining activity space for my boys, while the deck hosted family dinners and quiet book reading late into the night. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we had no problems cooking meals on our Colorado getaway. Last, the hot tub was clean and was actively maintained. The listing mentions it's a pet friendly home and while we didn't bring any pets, there was quite a bit of pet hair on floors, rugs, etc. The basement has a very distinctive pet smell that hits you as soon as you make it down the stairs. The hot tub was a nice addition, but with it being a little further out in the yard, away from the house, we did not utilize. It was a little too chilly for us to brave it. There is a lot of space in the home and lots of towels, bedding, pillows, etc. The kitchen could have used some tupperware, foil, or something for leftovers to be stored in. I discarded some of the expired (unopened) seasonings in the cupboard, but overall the kitchen had everything needed for feeding our family for a few days. The neighborhood seemed older and there was a neighbors car parked in front of the house most days. The decor was a little bit oudated, but the board games were a nice addition.
