Lovely Victorian Home with Lots of Personality and Charm
I must have viewed over 500 properties on 3 different sites before becoming enchanted with the photos and description of this charming Victorian home. Tim was a genial host with lots of excellent recommendations to enrich our stay in Colorado Springs. The location was perfect for our needs and we enjoyed every minute of our time there. If our travels take us back to Colorado, we will definitely book with him again.
Staying at this house was like staying with a good friend. From the moment we booked our stay, Tim quickly responded to us, and he consistently provided all the information we needed to enjoy our stay in Colorado Springs. We couldn't have been more pleased with his flexibility, hospitality, and respect for our privacy. (We weren't even aware of his presence upstairs except for the occasional soft creak of a floorboard, and he specifically asked permission to enter "our" area of the house when we told him we were having trouble with the electric coffeemaker.) The house was clean, comfortably and beautifully decorated and furnished, and equipped with both necessities and "extras." Throughout our stay, when we talked about returning to the house, we said we were "going home." We would definitely return and completely recommend to others!
We loved our stay in this beautiful house - tons of space, warm & comfortable, with everything we needed. Highly recommended if you're looking for something unique and with character in Colorado Springs. Tim was also an outstanding host - very communicative, clear and welcoming. Couldn't have been easier or more enjoyable.
We had a great time, did a lot of touristy things. Was a mom/daughter getaway. The house was perfectly located for our agendas and a comfortable place to rest.Would reccomend it.

Great Getaway Home
It was Excellent experience staying, Tim was also very informative and precise with his welcome email. Very clean home and everything is maintained. I really enjoyed that it was close to a lot of places. We were able to walk to Cerebus Brewing, drive to parks and around town easily. Glad we stayed there and can't wait to visit again.
we loved our stay! beautiful house, gorgeous and comfortable in every way. spacious, very comfortable chairs and beds, sun-drenched with huge windows in living and dining rooms, fully stocked kitchen with everything you could want or need, fabulous bathroom and shower, sweet back yard with seating. could not have been more comfortable, close to everything, and our host was warm and responsive and helpful when needed.
Beautifully updated Victorian in great location for our CO Springs visit
We will be back! The house was updated and still had character and charm. Wish we had more time to enjoy the house! Great location for walking into downtown. Although Tim lives upstairs we saw him only when we texted with questions:) My husband forgot a book and found one in the bookshelves and I appreciated the yoga mat:) Thanks Tim!

Not horrible but not what we expected... 😕
The home owner lives on the property in an upstairs apartment, which is NOT in the listing. Once you walk through the front door the only thing separating you and the owner is a staircase and a door. Otherwise you share the front yard, back yard, parking area and most sounds since the home is older. The location is so-so but definitely not a neighborhood we felt comfortable being outside in for long. The owner was very kind to us and the section of the home we stayed in wasn’t bad but we were expecting privacy above all and didn’t feel we had it the entire stay.
Property owner is oblivious of cleanliness. The mattress was over 20 years old with 2 inch of old foam rubber. We spent one night and left. He was living upstairs which at the time we rented the house showed the upstairs bedroom and bath. It was uncomfortable having someone else in the house. We rented the house because it had a yard and 1/2 was taken up with his truck trailer and junk. There was scaffolding on the house also. We were not informed of construction. Less than 1/2 of windows open and was upper 80’s. I am done with vrbo. They tell you to deal with the owner and are no help. I w II lol deal with reputable agents were they have to tell you the truth about what you are getting.

This place is a joke!
***The homeowner lives upstairs and this wasn't disclosed*** We arrived and the lights in the bathroom weren't working and a breaker was thrown in the kitchen so the microwave and the lights in the kitchen weren't working. The homeowner had to come and fix this basic requirement and then we found out he lived upstairs. He gave us a tour: 1. Living room has no couch or recliners (it has a wicker chair and two very old chairs where the springs are broken.). 2: Bathroom has pedestal bathtub that rocks back and forth with two shower heads that hit you from both sides (very weird). 3: Both bedrooms have very old and uncomfortable beds with little space. 4: The kitchen is a deal breaker as well. We had to plug the antique fridge in when we arrived and there was no freezer. The stove is not functional as it is also antique. Running the dishwasher throws the breaker. Running the microwave throws the breaker. There is no garbage disposal in the kitchen. Do I need to keep going? You will also have the benefit of hearing the homeowner walk around, cough, and talk on the phone late at night and in the morning as the walls are paper thin. The homeowner will also schedule maintenance while you are staying there instead of waiting until the place is vacant. The homeowner is trying to get rental income without having a rental property. This place is not functional at all I would never stay here again.
The house is perfect. We had everything we needed. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans, and anything you need to cook your own meals. The yard is wonderful—both front and back.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Kind, courteous, friendly and accommodating owner. Beautiful home close to everything we wanted to see and do. Would absolutely recommend and stay again!
Host was accommodating. Neighborhood is under gentrification. Doggie had a good time too

Great house for the family
My husband and I stayed here for 4 days with our dog. We loved the house and the area. The woodwork in the house was gorgeous. The host, Tim, was very nice and helpful. We definitely plan on staying here again during our next trip to Colorado Springs.
We were in Colo Springs for a short vacation. This house is very close to downtown, Old Colorado City, and several outdoor places including Garden of the Gods, North Cheyenne Canon Park, and about 1 hr from Pikes Peak. Great neighborhood.
The house is comfortable with lots of historic updates. The owner lives upstairs (separate entrances) and he was available for questions, but respected our privacy too.
We would absolutely stay again!
Tim was a gracious and easy going host. We attended a conference at Garden of The Gods Resort and they are not very dog friendly, so we checked options on VRBO. It’s tough to find a dog friendly place to rent in Colorado Springs, so when we saw his home we were excited to stay. The home is super cool with a gorgeous antique stove and refrigerator and beautiful/comfortable decor. All of the extra touches were nice too. The kitchen is fully stocked and the shower is awesome!! Water from 2 directions! It’s an eclectic place and we loved it. Tim was super easy to communicate with and sooo easy going. He went above and beyond even giving us free drink coupons for his beautiful restaurant in town. The backyard was a plus for the dogs. It was nice to have a place to let them run around. Tim does live above the VRBO with his dog, but we didn’t even notice. He was also very respectful of keeping his dog separated from ours as we have one little guy that doesn’t get along with other dogs. We will be back for sure!!
Had a great time at Tim's place. Check-in and communication was great, house was just as described and had all the essentials. Tim was easy to communicate with and had some good suggestions for local spots to try out as well! We had a really great time.
This property was perfect for our stay. It was fully equipped so we could cook, use a fire pit and enjoy some streaming after a day out and about. The location is literally 15-20 minutes away from the Cave Dwellings, Cave of the Winds, Garden of the Gods and Pike's Peak (at least the toll gate at the base). It is also close to downtown and many restaurants. I'm definitely going to save this location for the next trip back to Colorado Springs.
We spent 2 weeks in this place, 3 adults, 1 kid, 1 infant and 1 dog, and we all are happy to say we had a great time and the host, Tim, who lives in the upper unit of the house, made everything possible to ensure our stay was pleasant. We enjoy the house, the host, and all the amenities in the house. The location is great if you want to spend time in the mountains, it's close to grocery stores and bars and restaurants too.
We would repeat if we have the opportunity.

Could not have asked for a nicer experience. Tim was so helpful recommending fabulous restaurants. Beautiful house with everything we needed and more. Had a blast!!! Would highly recommend.
