Very comfortable place to stay. Clean and well stocked. We enjoyed spending time on the patio areas and getting out on the boat in the pond. We really enjoyed it and would highly recommend this property to others.
This was the most beautiful property and we loved the house!! We saw lots of animals including deer and baby bear cubs!!! Probably one of the most peaceful places I have ever stayed.
House and property were exactly as pictured and described. Basic supplies (soap etc) on hand, which is exceptional in our experience. Everything in working order. Spectacular views. Would love to stay here again.
The house looked amazing. The view was terrific. We will definitely come back again. The kids loved the sleds that they provided. Was very clean when we came.
This was an amazing property. For us, it was the perfect balance of luxury and wilderness. The house was beautiful, the property was private and fun to explore. We so much appreciated the pantry stocked with things loke spices, flour, sugar, etc. overs. We hated to leave.
We got to stay here with our adult children for Spring Break and it was a great experience. It was a quick drive from Pike’s Peak, Garden of the Gods and the Cliff Dwellings. We wanted something different than a typical beach vacation and this was perfect! House was wonderful with lots to keep us busy. Exploring the property, sledding, building a snow man, enjoying the hot tub…. We ran out of time before we ran out of things to do. The hosts are very nice and helpful. Would definitely go back!
What a great location and property! We enjoyed the space and 3 bathrooms the house provided. What a unique design. Memories made and good times had. Host was so helpful and accommodating. Thank you guys for sharing your beautiful home with my family.
We love this property! The views are outstanding. We have stayed here in the winter and fall and both have been amazing! My kids were able to fish in the fall and build snow forts and snowmen in the winter. So much land for them to run around and enjoy the outdoors. House is always super clean. Property owners are extremely nice and very accomidating!
David and Pam are amazing people. It was a privilege to get to stay at their amazing property. It was everything advertised and more. It is the perfect blind of seclusion and town. Thank you David and Pam for letting us enjoy your little peace of heaven!
We had a wonderful stay! The house was exactly as pictured. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and appliances to use for Thanksgiving Dinner. We hiked around the property and enjoyed the beautiful snowfall from all the windows. The location was great because it feels secluded but is still close to town for an easy grocery store run. Thank you for a memorable holiday!
This is our second time staying here with friends. It’s a great home in an amazing location. I have it 4 stars because it’s time as a vacation rental has caused some wear and tear. Probably time for new carpet and a couple other minor maintenance items. Overall a very pleasant experience.
My family of five loved everything about our stay. Owners were great to work with and answered all questions quickly. We enjoyed ice fishing for trout, walking the creek and exploring the grounds, loads of turkey each morning, the best sunset and sunrise each day from the great hot tub, plenty of split wood for the fire pit, and the home was beautiful throughout! Plenty of room inside for our 3 teens and ourselves. Good size bedrooms/closets and a great kitchen setup which we utilized often. I am unable to think of any cons what-so-ever!! We had a great trip and hope to get back soon!
Our 3 gen family from three states gathered in this, the perfect spot for our nature-loving family. We fished, saw wild-life, and used this as our base for all that Manitou Springs and surrounding areas have to offer. At the end of each day we chilled on one of the patios, paddled, fished, cooked family meals, played ping pong, and played cards. We made a game of, “I bet this place already has a…” every time we thought of an amenity we have at home.
The owners were just as impressive as their home, property, and long list of amenities. We can’t wait to come back!
From the moment I booked the house, the communication with Pam was timely and informative. The house and mountain setting was exquisite. We cooked every meal with a well stocked kitchen and every item for our vacation was available including fishing rods and an adorable wood row boat. The joy of watching a 6 year old catch his first trout was priceless. David was onsite when I arrived and he was a wealth of information. Not one of us wanted to leave and we will be back...soon!
The location of this house is in a beautiful & private setting. It is a lovely, comfortable & thoughtfully built home with plenty of room for 7 adults and 2 children and amazing views from all rooms. We enjoyed exploring the 12 acres, relaxing of the 2 decks and fishing on the pond. The owners have thought of everything you might need for your stay. The location provides easy access to many of the attractions nearby and a lot of great restaurants. The Pantry and Wines of Colorado were our favorites! Both with outdoor creek side dining. Would love to stay here again in the future.
We had 6 adults, a 3 year old and 6 month old. We had plenty of space, though the kitchen was a tad small when 2-3 people were working in it. We loved the views, pond and location. My grandson loved the swing and helping his daddy fish. Only disappointment was that we saw just 2 deer and some hummingbirds. But we had fun looking for wildlife!
The house was thoughtfully furnished and the kitchen was well stocked.
Thanks for a wonderful stay!
This is a 5-star listing, from the 4 large bedrooms to the fabulous 6-acre property with no other houses nearby. It also has two nice sized living rooms (with great views of the pond and meadows) and a fully equipped kitchen. Our 4-year old grandson really loved feeding the trout in the pond. Other fun extras: hot tub, nice grill, fire pit, badminton court, and fishing poles. As in every rental there are minor issues, but none worth noting. When checking out, renters should be aware of the 10 am checkout time (earlier than most places we've rented), and the need to wash and put away dishes, and take out the trash. We will definitely go again!
The property is exceptional; the views are amazing and the fishing was great even in November! As a family of 4 there was so much space that we all could easily relax. It was very secluded but close to town, all major conveniences within 10 minutes! We would absolutely stay here again hope to come back, thank you!
This was really a fantastic vacation for us. Our family is big and had a lot of needs, and this allowed us to be outside and safe, but still I have a little bit of an adventure.
