It's a nice enough hotel, but I booked the "Superior Room" on Expedia because they advertised a queen bed. When i arrived, they put us in a room with a double bed. Meanwhile, there were empty rooms with queen beds right next to us. Now I see that a queen bed is a "request," but that's not what the reservation page said when i booked the room. I would say to beware of dishonest business practices with Don Antonio Posada Hotel.

Estimado Sr. Ruben, buenos días: Lamentamos que la cama no haya sido de su agrado, es un somier nuevo y nos parecía lo más cómodo para su estadía. Entendemos que mudarse para el otro sector no era opción para ustedes, ahí teníamos disponible una categoría Deluxe con somier de 1.80 como le mostramos. Estábamos con algunas habitaciones en mantenimiento, por eso no estaba "disponible". Ya nos comunicamos con el Equipo de Soporte de Expedia para actualizar la información de los somier nuevos! Esperamos que este inconveniente no sea un impedimento para que nos vuelva a visitar. Quedamos a las órdenes. Cecile

Lovely stay in the historic core of Colonia without all the noise of the center. Staff are lovely and welcoming, property is a beautiful historic building with all the mod-cons. Dipping pool was perfect to cool off from laying in the strong sun (wear sunscreen! The UV in these parts is powerful). Highly recommend.

It’s a beautiful posada very well located, you can walk to a anywhere you want to go, it’s simple but In perfect conditions Breakfast offers simple good food I recommend it

The location is good. Walkable to places of interest. The hotel is attractive. However the room smelled moldy. At the corners mold is visible. The bathroom is very small. The stairs which are outside are not clean. The staff is friendly.

Small hotel situated in the old quarter. Perfect for leisurely visit to the sites. Walk everywhere. Excellent breakfast buffet and the front desk staff will even help you to speak better Español.

Great place to Stay
Beautiful old building with lovely furnishings. Bed was very comfortable. Coming back to the pool each day was a treat. There were workerd cleaning every part of the buildingband grounds from morning until night.

The property is lovely and quaint. There are a multiple of small steps to the rooms, so if you have large heavy suitcases you need to get to the room you will have to carry them up and down them. The staff aren't the most welcoming in the world, so don't expect too much help there.

This hotel is rustic and beautiful. The rooms were clean, the outdoor pool area was very relaxing, and the breakfast spread was unlike any other.

Quaint and interesting little town with many hotel choices - I suggest this is not one of them as you have many many choices. Condition - tired Staff- excellent Room - *very* tired Location - great

Lovely posada in Colonia
The place is beautiful and it has a lovely homely feeling.the breakfast is great with plenty of choices, lovely little pool, reception team are very kind. The reason for low score is based on the la k of cleaning and the smell of mould in our room. We find ants everywhere and spider cobwebs, also on making our room up they did not change our towels. Change the cleaning side and you will be 100% perfect

The property was very quaint with its different courtyards and rooms. We even had skeleton keys for our doors! We were upgraded to a deluxe room which was a corner room with very tall windows. It was very nice. The breakfast was the best I had on this vacation. The location was perfect also. I would highly recommend it!

Nice location in the old town. But as would be expected the hotel is old. Rooms are variable - we unluckily were assigned a small one in a secondary courtyard. So our experience wasn't that great. Although, we could have gotten lucky and got a better room at a better location. Common facilities were fine, although nothing exceptional special. A variety of items for breakfast, but nothing hot.

Absolutely fantastic hotel right in centre. Staff fantastic could not do enough for us breakfast very nice. Small touches like lemon water during the day made our stay memorable

Sime reception staff need to go to charm school.
Loved the hotel and location. Breakfast was excellent and the girl who checked me in was delightful. Unfortunately the woman who took over was very sour and unhelpful.
