"We were greeted by friendly welcoming staff and provided with comfortable well equipped accommodation. The food was excellent at both dinner and breakfast with a wide choice of well cooked locally sourced produce. The hotel is in a wonderful location with plenty of outside seating."

"Great place to stay, parked motorbike at the front to the right, all good. Nice ales and food was very good. Breakfast was made by a dedicated chef who has worked there for 15 years. Cannot find fault. Only minor thing was the bathroom was smelly in the Horse room, maybe a sewerage leak or something, but looks spotless. "

"Stayed overnight whilst spending a few days fishing on the local river. A warm welcome on arrival and a nice little clean room with everything I needed (comfy bed, warm shower, tv etc). Breakfast was freshly cooked and very good value at £9.85. Beer was also very good and a great selection. Staff were really friendly and happy to have a natter. Look forward to returning next year!"
