"I cannot say enough about the most wonderful staff at this hotel. They were so friendly and accomodating. The meals were superb, and the view from the dining room unmatched. It is to be expected that it is an older building and some things are a little different, make sure if you have mobility issues to ask questions before you go. I did see wheelchair ramps. We truly enjoyed it and wish we had stayed another night or 2 to walk the grounds."

My only regret was not having had the time to visit the adjacent shop and café."

"We were marooned in the Kames Hotel when excessive rain, flooding and landslides closed all the roads out. We could not manage to get to the wedding we had come to attend (neither could the celebrant, hairdresser, makeup artiste..) but we sat in all our finery with glass in hand beside a roaring log fire in the guest sitting room and thoroughly enjoyed the Google Meet wedding of the year ! Great food, company and staff who did all they could to make our stay comfortable. "
