The location of this property was great. Local bars, restaurants and sites to visit on the doorstep. Staff friendly and very helpful. Able to store luggage until we had to leave much later in the day.

Very convenient to most all attractions in the historic center of Siena. The views from the hotel and our room (with a city view) were spectacular. The hotel was very clean, the staff were welcoming each time we left or arrived from our daily visits. The room keys are kept at the front desk and the desk is staffed 24-hours with very polite and friendly clerks. Breakfast was simple, but very good, offering a variety of fruit typical pastries, breads and cheeses. Expressos and cappuccinos were well prepared by breakfast staff and free flowing. Nearby restaurants have great menus for other dining experiences. The check-in was smooth and staff made sure that our rental car was registered with the local police to allow us to enter to ZTL. Be prepared to hear bells from the nearby cathedral 24 hours a day, although at night they are simple chimes and much quieter than the daylight hours. I can't think of a better location and welcoming place as the Hotel Alma Domus, and the City of Siena

We absolutely loved this unique place: location, cleanness, a stunning view from the window, very friendly staff, delicious breakfast! There are no cons for this hotel. Highly recommend!

The property is great, and the staff was very good. The view from the balcony was awesome, looking at the Cathedral. The only issue we had was that it was very loud on Saturday night until 2 am, sounded like a party being held nearby.

It was unique because the entrance is along an outdoor staircase of about 200 steps in a city of many levels. The entrance is also on the top floor. It’s situated in a section of Siena that has a remarkable view of the rooftops and the Duomo.

Hotel Alma Domus is a clean and excellently maintained hotel in a convenient and quiet area of Siena. Hotel staff were professional and helpful. The view of the Duomo from our room was especially stunning at night. The breakfast was good. I recommend this hotel.

This property was surrounded by beauty. We mainly chose this hotel for location and price. Our room did not feel cold with the a/c, no matter how low we adjusted it, and the shower was tight. But we had fresh towels, a clean room, and great balcony view of the city. Breakfast was included in the price and was okay, a nice to grab and go.

This was a lovely historic hotel in medieval Siena. I found the air conditioning in the older section of the hotel was not as cool as I would have liked however it was not unbearable. I would definitely go again.

Staff members are wonderful, friendly and helpfull, the place is clean, quiet and in a great location, breakfast is also great they offer a variety of pastries, fruts, juices, tuscan salame, hams, and Italian cafe as well as american coffe. We were able to walk to all the interesting points of the city and to the transportation centers, train and bus. We are very happy with our expierence in L' Alma Domus Hotel.

The hotel is well situated once you have found it. Being within Siena itself we expected it to be noisy but we hadn't accounted for the accoutics inside the hotel. If you are used to quiet at night be prepared with earplugs as you can hear people moving around and going about their business.

Overall disappointing for the price
Overall disappointing. The images didn’t reflect the room we got. Even though it was an economy double. The image on the site displays the room above ours, so when we told reception they said it was incorrect. The room overall is very basic, showers are tiny. Reception told me all beds in every room are thin semi-comfortable mattresses. If you get a double bed it will be two separate single mattresses. The same goes for the most expensive or the least expensive rooms. We also weren’t aware that this is basically a religious hotel. So they rings bells every 15-30 minutes for about a minute from 7am to 8 or 9am. Then again at midday. Then again at 6pm. So don’t expect to sleep in. Overall pretty disappointed for the price we paid. Breakfast is basic, but breakfast isn’t really a thing in Italy. So it’s a nice bonus to the room, but don’t pay extra if it’s an option.

Dear Sir, We are sorry that your stay was not to your liking. The rooms are exactly like in the photos, but if you look at the photo of the superior room and then book the Economy room, we can't do anything about it. moreover the bells ring for the whole city not only for the Alma domus hotel! It is a characteristic of Italian cities especially the small ones. We have no internal bells...

The location of the hotel has the stunning view to the cathedral, lots of restaurants nearby and close to interesting places to visit. Breakfast is very good, staffs are nice and polite.

The hotel was absolutely wonderful!! We paid extra for a room with a balcony and city view. I would highly recommend doing that. Viewing Siena from our balcony looked like a painting. Everything was fabulous and in an excellent location. We would absolutely stay there again!

Great Location
Wonderful location, right in the centre of Siena so everything within a few minutes walk. Friendly and helpful staff, the buffet breakfast was great, so much choice. The room was fine, lovely view but shame the balcony was not big enough for chairs. Bathroom a little dated but clean. The only thing that was disappointing was that there was no tea and coffee facilities in the room, not even a kettle, we could get coffee from a vending machine at a very small cost, but it was such a small amount and very sweet .

ABSOLUTELY recommend! Transportation from the train station was readily available. Location was perfect with an amazing view from our rooms. Excellent breakfast service, and great restaurants within 100 m. Comfortable, clean rooms at a very reasonable price.

What an amazing hotel!! Super clean hotel with good size rooms. Shower had great water pressure and beds were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was tasty too! Easy walk from the bus station. The hotel’s location was excellent. Just steps away from the tourist sites, restaurants and shops. Friendly and accommodating staff too!!
