The local station was 25 minutes walk, but the host was very helpful in giving us lifts to the station and back. There was a good pizza restaurant (Romana) within easy walking distance and an amazing burger restaurant called 30 posti near the station, although it was quite a long walk with some streets with no pavement. There were some very kind locals who gave us a lift back from 30 posti to the apartment! You will get a huge choice of quality burgers in there. We arrived in the afternoon on Saturday where there was a private party in the main pool so we couldn't use it. On Sunday there was a pool party which we could have gone to if we hadn't gone to Pompeii, but it finished at 6pm, so there was no option to eat in the pool restaurant after that. The pool was open to us again on Monday for 10 euros each. There were several food options at the pool and a swim up bar." Giovanna and family were incredible hosts and made our stay very comfortable. We used this stop as a base to explore Naples, Pompeii, and the Amalfi coast (we did them all in 2 days!!). As mentioned, we wish we could have stayed much longer but Greece was calling. Striano and Sarno are quiet but scenic towns and I don't think I've had better pizza than what we experienced at Pizzeria Core Mio or the free breakfast offered at the Koke Cafe both within walking distance. We will make this a must stay if we return to Napoli.
