"This historically significant property is an absolute gem of a boutique hotel in the midst of Colombo. The restaurant is also wonderful, Such a surprise as we found it randomly and had no idea that it was the former prime minister's house and that Charles and Camilla had stayed there. Our room next to the beautiful courtyard pool had a four poster and a private terrace and a huge gorgeous modern bathroom. It is an old house but the decor is v. cool! So much so that they have a chain of shops...

"Older building restored, so understand that. Excellent dining options (non guests came here to eat). Small Roof top pool. Adjacent roof top bar. Zen garden. Room(s) had a long balcony on the bedroom side, and a huge balcony porch on the other. WiFi isnt great (slow) but other than that if you had a stove a person could live here. Its a 1 bedroom apartment basically. Area is upper class it seems, several consulates and ambassadors on this street"

"I booked Olu Based on the reasonable price and great reviews. I wasn’t disappointed. The family were wonderfully friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived, the 2 family dogs are a lovely touch for animal lovers and the villa is clean and quiet with great WiFi. Great hot water in the showers and a wonderful Sri Lankan breakfast is available on request. Would definitely stay again when back in Colombo."

"Secluded BNB styled hotel in a safe area in Colombo 7. Decent hot breakfast made to order. Air conditioner in room works very well. Room was clean, well furnished, and attached bathroom, was spacious, clean, and had a standing shower. This place was "off the beaten path" so the taxi driver may have a hard time finding it but I would definitely recommend this place. The staff were attentive and courteous."
