The description says there is a beach, there is no beach on property or walkable. We had an amazing dinner at Portale nearby recommended and arranged by owner. "to begin with I have to admit I liked the 501 against my better judgement at times but the location and views allows a lot to be forgiven.
I can imagine the 501 in its glory days would have been spectacular. the architecture is still on place and quality never goes out of style.
however the old girl does look a little tired and could benefit from a little renovation in places.
the staff, mainly Italian or course and many locals, can be a little abrupt or disinterested when they are busy...
