Top Church of San Domenico Hotel Reviews
Trullo Panna Fragola - Private Villa with 4 Double Bedrooms and a Swimming Pool
10/10 Excellent
"A perfect property and location to celebrate both a significant birthday and anniversary with family across 3 generations. The Trullo had just about everything we needed for everyone. Its location was great for getting to both the east and west coast of the Puglia region as well as the many interesting towns and villages, including Alberobello and Matera. Communications with the owners Franck and Nathalie were excellent with house information and local recommendations well before we arrived that helped our planning and this continued during our stay if we had any questions. They were very helpful and friendly, albeit all through WhatsApp. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and the pool was a very major hit with our grandson. Thank you to our hosts. We definitely made memories."
Stylish Trullo with Pool
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay at Trulli Brunaldi, the property was excellent. It is clean and stylishly furnished making great use of the traditional features. We were pleasantly surprised to find an outdoor kitchen had been installed since our booking which added to our stay, in fact most of the property appears to be very recently refurbished. Communication from the host was exceptional and we were able to book local restaurants and ask advice at any time. We would definitely love to return. The location was great and we fell in love with Puglia."
Park Hotel San Michele
10/10 Excellent
"We really enjoyed our stay at the Park Hotel San Michele. Our room was big, comfortable, and well-equipped, with plenty of space for our family of four. The beds were comfy for a great night's sleep, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The breakfast buffet was great too, with lots of variety to start the day. The outdoor pool was clean, well looked after, and a perfect spot to relax and cool off after spending the day exploring nearby Martina Franca. The location was excellent, just a short walk from the historic centre and very easy to get around on foot. The flat, well-kept paths made it simple to use a buggy or pushchair, which was a big plus for us as a family. Overall, we’d definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again!"
I Cinque Trulli with Swimming Pool
8/10 Good
"The property was very quiet and Maria was a very gracious host, however she only spoke Italian so there was a (mis)communication barrier. Pool towels were an additional €10/each—something that should be included in a €2000+ rental. I would understand if the towel fee was refundable to prevent damage or loss. Check in took about 20-25 minutes and included a tour of the property, too long since we paid in advance and signed all required documents prior to arrival. There was an additional €250 security deposit paid in cash at check in. And city tax per person per day paid in cash due upon arrival. The outside area & “shared” pool were very nice, but the limited pool hours & strict rules were too complicated. Location is good for visiting many of the surrounding small towns & communities. There is no AC and the temps during the day reached 36+. There was only one fan for 5 rooms and because of the unique architecture designed to keep heat in there was limited/no air circulation at night. In my opinion, this home would be best enjoyed in cooler months. Kitchen was tiny but equipped with the basics so we made it work for 6 people. Overall a nice place to stay but be aware of the long check in process, extra fees, strict rules, and weather conditions."
Casina d'Autore: Historic Charm, Salt Pool with Baby Pool in Itria Valley.
10/10 Excellent
"We had the most perfect stay in Martina Franca. Claudio was incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful, and the home was equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We especially appreciated how clean and well‑stocked the space was — from a fully equipped kitchen to thoughtful touches like laundry hampers, drying racks, and extra linens and pillows. It truly felt like a home away from home. The gated private entry made us feel very safe, and the salt pool area was pristine with plenty of loungers and just the right amount of sun coverage for relaxing days outside. The location was excellent as well — close to central Martina Franca and within an hour’s drive of many major sites. We were so glad we chose this as our home base for the week.We loved the multiple bedrooms and different spaces. Multiple keys are offered to allow people to split up and leave at different times. The AC was a life saver in the heat, and it was great to have laundry as well!We would absolutely recommend this serene, private, and beautiful accommodation to anyone visiting the area."
Relais Villa San Martino
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel room was beautiful and immaculately maintained. The hotel staff was beyond attentive and hospitable. We were greeted in the parking lot by two staff members that proceeded to help with our luggage. We were then served tea upon our entrance. Their BROS restaurant was superb! Excellent service and a great meal! Even their "resident" cat, which we endearingly nicknamed Puccia (for the Puglian bread) Martina (for the town) was so so friendly. His name during our stay was Puccia Martina. The grounds were so private and peaceful. In a great location close to town. We used this as our home base and drove to places like Locotorondo, Alberobello, Ostuni, and several beautiful beaches. Would not think twice to stay there again."
Tenuta Odegitria
8/10 Good
"Kept in touch with hosts on our way there re timing changes as requested. Always had a response almost immediately after sending message. Route there from the main road is very single track, and a bit tight in places, especially when the car hire company gives you “…a little upgrade….” Toyota Yaris or equivalent is now an MG SUV - nice for longer drives but a little wide for some roads. Warm welcome by Giovanni - thank you for speaking English to us. Short tour of estate and the lovely pool area but only opened at 10:00 (hubby likes to swim lengths in the morning and couldn’t) then to the trulli we had booked, which was amazing. Very chintzy but cute and clean. Kitchen is equipped if you want to eat in, although fridge is not particularly cold, and quite a few of the plates (also chintzy) were a tad chipped. Only downside was a/c located in living area not bedroom, and, apparently by Italian government law, is set to 26degrees, which wasn’t very effective. Not shown how to operate it and no power off button on wall thermostat so only way to turn off when we were out for the day was pulling the plug out. Be aware that the toilets here are very low to the ground, which doesn’t help if you have arthritic knees. The toiletries in the bathroom smelt really nice. TV channels limited. Free WiFi but poor connectivity. Beautifully kept grounds, quiet guests whilst we were there. If you want a peaceful, unique place to stay, then this is definitely the place for you."
Relais Santa Maria
10/10 Excellent
"What a wonderful three-night stay we had in Martina, in no small part to Sara and Francisco, who were amazing. The room itself was fantastic; we've stayed in Trulos in Italy before, but being in the heart of the old town as well felt almost fairytale. The room was superbly fitted out, and Sara's decorations made it extra special."
