"Parking can be an absolute pain as inconsiderate drivers have a habit of blocking the narrow entrance to the carpark- Chelsea Tractors mindless morons. Parking in the yard is very good. Our room was for a wheelchair user thus the bathroom mirror was a bit to low for shaving - an additional one would be useful. Was a bit disappointed that both starter and main course were not available so I was told well after the order was made non 2 separate instances, first starter the later the main course. Second choices were well ok though. Excellent choice of breakfast. All in all an enjoyable stay, looking forward to using the hotel again as our son lives just down the road making this an ideal stop over."

"This was a lovely place to stay, and very good value with breakfast included. Dorchester on Thames is a very quiet village on the edge of the Cotswolds - something you may well appreciate if you venture into the tourist hotspots! All the staff were brilliant and really helpful. Breakfast was outstanding and cooked to order (with plenty of cereal, fruit, yoghurt and preserves available too.) Room was a really good size, comfortable (if perhaps a little frayed around the edges) Decent food in the restaurant and some lovely ales in the bar. Oh, and free parking (in their car park and on the street outside) Beware though if you’re rather tall like me…people were a bit shorter in the 17th century and you’ll need to remember to duck!!"

"Staff were good. Poor nights sleep though as the room we had on the upper floor was far too hot and uncomfortable to sleep in ( not sure how people cope in summer as it was 10 degrees outside) . No other rooms available as there was a wedding going on at the hotel .They had already provided a fan in the room ( so they must know about the issue) which we had to use all night as well as keep the Juliette balcony door open. Food in the restaurant was ok but service and staff were very good. Leaving disappointed , especially given the cost of the room. "

"Lovely stay at a genuine village pub, not a restaurant with rooms or a hotel with a bar, this is the real thing. Beautifully furnished rooms, amazing staff and service and fantastic atmosphere, and Blewbury is beautiful. The Ukrainian menu has to be tried! We loved also that the dog was as welcome as we were."

"We had a lovely weekend, great walks and good food and drink at local pubs all within walking distance for us. Our hosts were very welcoming and the property is well equipped.We has some lovely evenings sat around the wood burner and would visit again. "
