Top Chipping Norton Museum Hotel Reviews
Cotswolds Hotel & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Position of hotel next to main road. Handy for Cotswold Villages"
Maple Cottage - Beautiful 2BD Home, Perfect For Family Retreat
10/10 Excellent
"What a lovely home in the heart of Chipping Norton! It served as the perfect home base for the four of us during our 3 night stay. It was well appointed and the hosts provided all the key necessities. The communication was on point. One recommendation to future guests, don't try to park on Diston's Lane. It is lovely but very narrow. Follow the host's guidance for nearby parking options once you have unloaded your luggage."

"Had a great time."
Cosy Cotswold Cottage with Fireplace and Courtyard
10/10 Excellent
"The communication from the moment we booked was quick and efficient with a very detailed welcome pack. Lots of suggestions and tips for our stay. When we entered the property we had a lovely breakfast basket supplied by the management. Every room was well kept and decorated. Our little boy loved it as well as my parents who are pretty convinced they want to now retire here. Fans were provided in each bedroom which were needed in the heatwave. Parking was a bit sparse but alternative areas were directed by the host. Would definitely stay again!"
Studio flat in the Cotswolds for holiday or work. 5 mins drive to Diddly Squat
8/10 Good
"Remote village location, although an Aldi is a short drive.,Modern, compact studio apartment. Very clean. Attentive host Li. Convenient on street parking. Adequate facilities for a short stay. The lack of a TV was something I hadn’t understood but this would not have stopped me booking. Comfortable bed."
Windsor Cottage-Bolthole in heart of CN

"Lovely little cottage, perfect location, close to pubs, shops and restaurants, didn't have a problem parking at all. Would definitely return"
Dog friendly cottage with a hot tub - Vine Cottage
8/10 Good
"We enjoyed our stay at Vine cottage because of the location for visiting ldifferent areas of the cotswolds, however if we had known of the close proximity to the Indian restaurant and the fact it was so hot and had to have all the windows open we probably wouldn't have booked that particular property."
Large Loft flat 1m Chipping Norton. 5 mins from Diddly Squat
10/10 Excellent
"This apartment was a lovely size. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of glassware crockery and kitchen tools. I was able to make full cooked breakfast and evening meal no issues. There is a nice dining table. Bathroom had a large shower. Previous guests mentioned the apartment was warm. When we visited we opened the velux windows and this created a lovely draft we were able to cool the apartment and the temperature was very comfortable. There is also a large floor fan this has a long cable and is very quiet and can be used in the living area and bedroom to achieve your required temperature. I particularly like a dark bedroom and I was very pleased to find that the blinds on the windows were very effective and the bedroom was completely dark. The apartment backs on to open countryside nice views and we found it quiet. It is a mile walk into Chipping Norton and there are pavements all the way so this is a safe shaded pleasant walk to many pubs restaurants and shops. A very pleasant three night stay."
Ideally located dog friendly holiday home in the Cotswolds - Upper Barn
8/10 Good
"Upper barn was an excellent location just off Chipping Norton High Street, and although a looking a little tired with many scrapes on the paintwork and poorly matched paint on the lounge ceiling where a repair had previously been made, it was essentially as pictured on the website. However some aspects were disappointing - in particular that the spa was leaking. We were not told this in advance, but were only advised of the problem when we arrived and told we just needed to top it up each morning, which we did. Unfortunately once a day top up was obviously not sufficient as by the time we wanted to use it in the late afternoon/evening the level had returned to the same half full level which we then had to refill with cold water before the jets could operate. So at best we were only able to have a lukewarm spa- okay on very hot days, but not ideal, and not what we were looking forward too. I think I am most annoyed that I was not contacted in advance and possible alternatives, eg alternative accommodation with a non-leaking spa suggested. Other irritations were that the hairdryer was broken, there was a hole in the bottom of one of the cafetieres and one of the outside metal chairs was broken (screws missing so seat not fully connected to the legs). I left notes on each of these when we left so hopefully they will now have now been attended to. There was also insufficient toilet paper to last for a week long stay and no basic items such as kitchen roll and body wash that I would have expected to have been provided for such a stay. Overall we had a nice week in the Cotswolds, but there is certainly room for improvement in what is provided at Upper Barn and communication with regards to the repair required, and usability of, one of its advertised key features."
