Iconic Thatched Cottage, Iconic 17th Century Thatched Cottage
Enjoy the beautiful garden in the summer sunshine or hunker down next to the fire in the winter, Hoo Cottage has it all! It is one of the few thatched Cotswold Stone properties, tucked away in the idyllic village of Chipping Campden. We have done our best to bringing out the distinctive character of this historic property, while furnishing it in a luxurious rustic style. The history of the cottage is still up to debate. However, we have found evidence of it playing a role as the village bakery.

The cottage was beautiful with a great location for Chipping Camden. The kitchen is not really practical for cooking main meals there for three people it's very tiny & has no cupboards for crockery & glasses which are kept at the back of the longe in the dining area. cleanliness was good overall but could have been better we found lots of cobwebs in the corners of the rooms & some of the previous guests hair in the bedroom around the dressing table.
We look at many places before finding this one. Then we were sold on Hoo Cottage. When you get there it's nice to see that everything in the description is exactly how it actually is. Loved the area. Loved the town. And really enjoyed the cottage. We even had hikers on the Cotswold Way tell us how much they liked the place. We would easily stay here again.
Disappointed, dirty, loveless, a horrible stay, cheeky owners, bad smell of soot in the whole house. the whole cottage is not in a good condition, the sofa and the armchair is so dirty with soot and stains, we do not want to sit there, but it is the only possibility in the living room. I am sorry, it was disgusting. The pillows in the sleeping room had chocolate stains and I am afraid, was not washed for a longer time. the garden furniture was broken and rot. we have to live out of our suitcase because there is any wardrobe in the sleepingroom. What a mistake to book a cottage like this which looks very nice from outside, but that is really all. inside it is absolutely disappointing. We have to involve our lower. Because that cottage is so expensive-the price-performance ratio is an impudence.
