This cottage is amazing. The view is beautiful, the space feels very private, tucked away and well maintained. Clean, stylish and cozy! Host was great and check in was easy. Nothing but good vibes here!
I enjoyed my stay! The deck and views are gorgeous, and the home is very comfortable with everything you may need—great location with my favorite lobster sandwich close by. I hope to be back next year!
It’s better than what you see in the listing. The overall layout of the property is beautiful and comfortable! Communication with the host was easy and responses were prompt. The bedrooms are small but the beds are very comfortable. And the view is spectacular! I can’t think of one thing I would suggest the host to change.
This property is truly lovely. It's comfortable, has all the amenities you'd want, and the host Christian is totally on top of things. The view from the porch is great and it's a truly peaceful place. We'd go back again for sure!
My wife, 2 dogs and I visited for a week. This house was well appointed, clean and relaxing. The deck, yard and views are spectacular. We were looking for a quiet place to decompress and recharge and this house did the trick. Christian was very responsive and helpful to every question. I highly recommend.
This house was perfect for us -- two couples and one pup -- for an off-season getaway. The location is quintessential "Up-Island" with sweeping views of Menemsha Pond, easy access to walks and hikes, nature galore, and several modest 1950's midcentury homes in the area. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook two great dinners at home, and the new Beetlebung Farm stand is super close for fresh bread, veggies, and more. We can't wait to come back! (Only caution is to take tick checks very seriously this time of year...)
Beautiful modern house with strong relationship to the landscape and views. Stunning daylight. Private and quiet, it secluded off of a dirt road. Views of pond and ocean with stunning sunsets. Very comfortable open kitchen/living space, private and comfortable bedrooms, well-designed bathrooms. Would have loved to be able to use the fireplace or a fire pit on cool nights, but overall a fantastic stay.
Christian was quick to reply and accommodating when we had a slight change in our plans. The place was perfect - beautiful setting, everything you'd want (including a well set-up kitchen), close enough to shops & activities but nicely removed for peaceful time. And the sunsets!!!!
We had a great stay at his property. The owner was very easy to work with, and we really enjoyed the house and yard. I would stay here again, and I have recommended it to others.
The view and calmness of the house location did not disappoint. It was the perfect amount of rest and relaxation with access to great food and a bit of sight seeing.
We loved our stay in Menemsha! We were within walking distance to the beach, fish markets, restaurants, shops and galleries in this small village in Chilmark. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. It had a great deck overlooking Menemsha Pond and Vineyard Sound. The owner was very responsive and a pleasure to work with.
The home is fantastic for a couple or small group. The house has everything you need and is very comfortable. Views from the expansive deck and surrounding property wonderful. Christian was a great host, very accommodating and always very quick with an answer. Couldn’t ask for a better Chilmark experience!
Very clean, well supplied, and a huge beautiful deck overlooking the harbor and ocean. So peaceful, and as an avid birdwatcher and nature-lover, I almost didn't want to leave the deck each morning. Christian was a great host, very accessible, and we had no complaints at all. Hope to go back every year. Our dogs loved daily walks and lounging on the deck with us!
Christian and Sara’s home was exactly what my family needed for a relaxing and peaceful weekend visit to MV. The house has stunning views of the water and the sunsets are spectacular. The kitchen is fully equipped with excellent appliances and utensils. The beds are super comfortable and linens so cozy for sleeping in. Christian is a superb host.. communicative and accommodating. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
This is exactly as advertised. Everything was very clean and well apportioned with all the essentials. The communication was very clear and the house is in an absolutely stunning location. These hosts know what they are doing and provide an amazing B&B experience. I went with my mother and it was perfect for the two of us. I've been coming to MV for over 40 years and used to have a home here and this felt like an absolutely authentic Vineyard experience. This home would also be perfect for a couple and could definitely accommodate two couples, although the bathrooms are quite small and the walls are a little thin so noise carries. But these are quibbles, all in all everything was excellent.
Christian was a wonderful and responsive host and his home was perfect for my stay. Modern mid century vibe and very comfortable beds/linens (also including many luxury amenities - nothing spared here - bathroom showers are fantastic fyi). Spectacular views of Menemsha Pond and beyond at sunset. So peaceful in Chilmark and thrilled I chose this area of the island for my stay. I especially enjoyed listening to the birds each morning. Just a few short minutes to some gorgeous beaches, (Lucy Vincent was my favorite!) fresh seafood markets and small grocery stores/markets to grab some local fresh veggies/supplies and even prepared meals/pizzas to bring home. I hope to return next year!
The spacious deck looks out toward Menemsha Pond and the Atlantic. We ate every meal the weather allowed at the table there, and the sunsets were spectacular. Despite the crummy weather for the first part of our week’s stay, we enjoyed the walk to Dutcher Dock and the subsequent delicious fresh fish we had for dinner. Walks on Lucy Vincent beach, fishing off the Menemsha jetty, and a very good meal in Edgartown kept us as busy as we wanted to be.
The beds are comfy, the host is easy to reach, and if you don’t need a huge indoor space, you’ll find this house accommodating. The bathrooms are small, but there are two of them! Our dog was happy to be with us and liked rambling around the big yard. Looking out at the trees and water, it was easy to think there were no other houses anywhere nearby.
The host was very easy to work with. Communication was excellent. A Nor-easter blew through and our ferry was canceled. We were able to spend an extra night without any difficulty. I've booked a 2nd stay with this owner in the guest house next door.
We had a lovely fall visit to the Vineyard at the end of October. Christian and Sara's home is just perfect down to every small detail. They've really thought of everything to make for a perfect trip to this very special island. Thank you!
For a small house the living area was very spacious and comfortable. The deck was wonderful with fabulous views. It is a quiet off the beaten path oasis but within walking distance to Menemsha beach and spectacular sunsets. Larsons Fish Market too.
What a perfect spot! We especially enjoyed the star gazing and walks to Menemsha.
We very much enjoyed our stay and Christian and Sara were great, attentive hosts!
