The one thing I was not thrilled with was that the bed wasn’t very comfortable. The positives outweighed that one are and the pool area was nice, shaded with a decent lil hot tub. The front desk staff were top notch and very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

not up to a regular 3-4 stars standard. insolations between rooms to rooms and wall to hall was are very bad. There were noises when people walk and open/close doors all night loong. Manager kept intervene front desk clerk and try to show he is smarter (not necessary). Room has mold smelling even after cleaning up.

I booked two rooms for family as we had a son graduating from Chico. I booked very early to make sure we got rooms. I was not happy with the cleanliness of the rooms that we paid TRIPLE the price for as it was graduation time. I was text by the hotel and asked how my stay was after the first night. I told them my issues: torn up rug edges, scratched up bed boards, old, saggy looking bed skirt, my mattress sagged down, lamp on bedstand had spots all over shade and needed dusting, dirt in corners of bath, something spilled on bath wall in plain site but not cleaned off, hair in tub, single ply toilet paper, water pressure not good, hall carpets and stair ways stained and smelly, and spots on tile floors. Pool had leaves and bugs floating in it (it was windy though) and was pretty cold whereas the spa was to hot! The staff was nice and polite but will try another hotel next time. Cleanliness is SUPER important to me and I'm not a perfectionist by any means, but...

1) Near $400 for a 1 bedroom "suite," at a hotel That makes you share an elevator with Housekeeping. My family and I had to wait for 3 elevator passes so Housekeeping could get their carts & gear to their destinations. The reason I mention this at all is in hospitality a price point for your accomodations typically reflects "A Higher Level Of Guest Expectations Met," for overall experience and amenities offered on the property. In this case for the price of the Room, the minimum expectations would be: 1) staff NOT impeding in the OVERALL GUEST EXPERIENCE. 2) Cleanliness would be at a higher level. A) I found a used flosser from a previous guest on the bedroom carpet. B) The couch had chip remnants & looked dirty. C) Since the sofa bed is considered a sleep accomodations it should also be Cleaned. When we pulled out the matttress of the sofa bed the floor under it was filthy, & dust went flying. In the linen provided- the blanket had 4 long hairs stuck in it. I had specifically requested extra cleaning due to severe allergies and asthma for all of my family members. D) 2-4 coffee cup- 1 pkt of coffee. At these price points staff operating systems should be unnoticed by guests, quality control needs an upgrade in Housekeeping, and rooms need refurbishing to continue operating under the Doubletrree Hilton moniker. On the positive side, front desk and restaurant staff is kind and accommodating and late night food and breakfast was a home run!
