Never again...

Posted 30-Nov-2016
It's a lovely hotel, I had a beautiful suite, but many issues. There wasn't a bottle opener in the kitchen for glass bottled drinks supplied by the mini-bar. Upon the desire for dinner, I found the hotel's one and only restaurant to be completely reserved and closed off for an event by some outside employer. I was redirected to the hotel lounge and bar. When I was close to that area, a hotel employee stopped me and said that it too was closed for a private event. Upon checking further, he said he was mistaken, and I was able to go into that area and grab a quick bite and a drink. As I'm a VIP+ member, I asked for a late check out, only an additional hour, due to having a later flight out of the city. I was denied this due to another conference that was in town, although as I was leaving, the housekeeper asked me what room I was leaving. I gave her the number and then sat in the chairs near the elevator working on my iPad for an hour. The room still had not even started to be cleaned, so I could've had that late check out. The employees just wanted to rush me out instead. As I was entering my car from the front of the hotel, the employee told my driver to move to the other side of the wall of the hotel. My driver and I had to drag my bags all the way out to the street. Ridiculous.

Excellent five-star hotel in downtown Chicago

Posted 27-Nov-2016
Pros: Clean and well-furbished rooms. Very friendly staff.
Cons: Bathroom equipment starting to show their age.
Location: Great location. An easy walk to nearby Michigan Avenue.
Reception, room and facilities are top-notch. The hotel is conveniently located near major downtown hotspots. Both business and vacation travellers would love staying in this hotel.

Regardless of your politics, this place is posh!

Posted 26-Nov-2016
Pros: They provided at least 8-10 bath towels, which we appreciated. Decor, cleanliness and staff were all well above-average.
Cons: Prices do border on ridiculous for things such as minibar and valet parking.
Location: Right on the Chicago River and 100 yards off of the Mag Mile. Can't beat it.
Through our Expedia Premier reservation, we were upgraded to a suite with a $30 room service credit. Now, that credit will buy one chocolate bar, one tin of cashews and one bottle of orange juice, so caveat emptor. The suite was immaculate and spacious. Staff was exceptional. Worth the price, which was really pretty good for Thanksgiving night.

5 Star Luxury that is worth it!

Posted 26-Nov-2016
Pros: 5 star service, massive room, clean. Truly the perfect stay.
We have stayed at dozens of hotels in Chicago and the Trump tops them all. Truly 5 stars! 1. Check In- Gabrielle was the ultimate TOPS in hotel professionals.Truly seemed to care that we had the perfect room for our wants/needs. We were upgraded to a Spa room. First impression of the hotel: 11 out of 10. 2. Stepping off the elevator on the Spa floor- the hint of lavender in the air was soothing and relaxing. 3. The Room- 900 square feet of luxury! Expansive South view of the Chicago river and city view. The 10 foot floor to ceiling windows (there were about 12 windows total) spanned maybe 150 feet- the view was breath taking! 4. Work Out Facilities top notch with same view as our room 1 floor below- sweeping views. 5. Room Service- Excellent. The location is perfect, walk to everything. We look forward to our next stay!

Classy hotel in Chicago.

Posted 21-Nov-2016
Pros: The quality of the room.
Cons: More elevators, and more people to help with checkout at peak times.
Location: Right off Michigan Avenue which offers the best shopping with lots of great restaurants nearby.
We really enjoyed our experience at the Trump hotel Chicago. Upon arrival the staff was quick to serve helping with the bags and showing us to the check in desk. The person at check-in took the time to unsure we understood the property, amenities and made sure we were well informed. The room was really top notch. Very classy and very functional. Location of the property was excellent being right on the river offering river walk and beautiful views. Security was a concern given the recent protests but we did not see any protestors. There plenty of police around the property providing a secure feeling without interfering in any way with the overall experience.

Loved it

No complaints great staff and location. On site food quite expensive. Expedia reservation problems delayed our checking by 30 minutes. Wonderful checkin staff gave a room upgrade to compensate!
