Great stay and location!

Posted 11-Feb-2016
Pros: Clean, nice, comfortable.
Cons: One of the elevators was out of service, which made the wait longer than usual when traveling up to the room.
Location: Willis Tower is only a block or two away. Magnificent mile is one block away with lots of stores and restaurants. You are in the heart of Chicago.
This was the second time I had stayed at The Whitehall. It is located very close to the magnificent mile and there are a few parking structures located very close to it as well. Room was very clean and the beds are super comfortable.

Quiet hotel close to the action

Posted 08-Feb-2016
Pros: The proximity of the hotel to so many sights, the bathrobes and nice bathrooms and nice sized rooms.
Cons: Having in room coffee makers. The carpet in my room was frayed and worn. Otherwise, it was very nice.
Location: See above.
The Whitehall is a nice hotel which is right off of Michigan Avenue and within walking distance of many premium shopping areas, Millenium Park and the art Institute. The hotel staff was polite. The only issue I noted was the fact that 1 of the hotel's 2 elevators was out of service. According to hotel staff it had not functioned in weeks. Thankfully I was located on the 3 rd floor and took the stairs most of the time. However, it was definitely an inconvenience since the elevators only had capacity for 5 guests.

Nice hotel close to great shopping and restaurants

Posted 07-Feb-2016
This is a boutique hotel (in a way), as it's small, intimate lobby reminds me of that. But it has 17 floors or more. The bar is GREAT (ask for their homemade potato chips), the bartender really a great guy. One of the two elevators is under construction, so it took a while for it to arrive, but other than that, it's a cute place!

Nice hotel, great location!

Posted 05-Feb-2016
Pros: I love that it's a boutique hotel, and not a chain hotel. The location is absolutely fabulous--close to great restaurants, shopping and the beach.
Cons: I wish that the rooms included a refrigerator. I like to have cold water with me and a refrigerator would be nice for restaurant leftovers.
Location: Wonderful location! We walked everywhere!!! Whatever you need, it is within a few blocks of this hotel!!
Wonderful! Everyone was so nice. The room was beautiful, lots of room and the bathroom was spacious too.

Excelente estancia en Chicago! Hotel recomendable!

Posted 05-Feb-2016
Pros: Ubicación y cercanía a zona comercial y de restaurantes.
Cons: Nada.
Location: Amplia zona comercial y restaurantes.
Gracias.

Historic Hotel but not the best place to stay

Posted 04-Feb-2016
The first thing I noticed is a $65.00 charge for overnight parking which is unusually high for any city. Check in went smooth but got to the room to listen to a couple screaming at each other from their room and eventually the hallway. Remote wasn't working so I couldn't drown out their voices. Moved to a higher floor and no remote in the from this time. Room was ok; very small and the bed was comfortable. Neither room had a view other than the wall of the building next door. One elevator was out and the working elevator could only hold 5 people; and it sounded like it was ready to die. It was an experience, but I'll go back to staying with the big chain hotels again.

Great Hotel !

Posted 03-Feb-2016
Pros: The staff was very nice and helpful.
Cons: The elevator service.
Location: The location was perfect. Centrally located and close to most tourist things in Chicago.
This was a great hotel. Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom is a bit small but who spends that much time in there anyways? Free Wifi. The only reason I would not give it a total 5 star is because one of the elevators was down and the working elevator was small there for creating a long line at check in check out times.

Classic hotel

Posted 30-Jan-2016
Pros: Close to restaurants that we enjoy and convenient to other attractions. We enjoy other amenities such as the bar area and breakfast space.
Cons: Nothing from our perspective.
Location: Very convenient --- we walked to everything. It was great!
Beautiful hotel where I have stayed 3 other times. Classic design with updated features including marble shower. Love the Whitehall !
