My only two complaints are that two of the three curtains had their chains off the track so you could not put them up or down. My other complaint is purely my own opinion but I feel like there should have been better placement for the outlets.

Loved my stay at Sonder South Wabash! It was a perfect location for us. If I travel back to Chicago soon, I will absolutely consider staying at this spot again.

We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom apartments and the unit was beautiful. Huge patio was an unexpected bonus! The neighborhood was nice-even for a family from the suburbs. We never felt unsafe with our 3 young kids. At night there was security officer in the lobby and she was very nice. It was good to know someone was keeping things in check. Things to note: there are no blackout shades on the floor to ceiling windows, so don’t expect to sleep in! The noise of the city is easily drowned out with white noise machines/apps however. I docked 1 star on cleanliness because the air filter was filthy. I don’t even know how air was getting through it tbh. My allergies were terrible! Having lived in the city many years ago, you do go through a lot, but that’s just how it is! Please change your air filters to improve air quality. That aside, would definitely stay again! We had a great time going to museums and walking around.

We (family of 4) stayed here for few weeks. Sofa bed was awful (really bad! It was almost deformed.), and the main bed was very noisy. The non-stick pan was very old and scratched. Also, not enough cookware, and when I asked for more, they said they don't provide more pans/pots. The bathroom was almost clogged and slow to drain. Location was great and I really loved the view. It was extremely accessible with so many great places nearby. Also it was very close to grocery stores. The costumer service was descent. We asked for extra salt and they provided. We also had a problem with washing machine at first, and their team was super helpful moving us to another unit.

Room was surprisingly large, accommodations were good. Main issue was the availability of parking. No designated spots for the building so you were either fighting for a paid spot on the street, or parking at a garage that wasn't anywhere near the property. Still an overall good experience.

I can never say enough about Sonder properties! This was yet another amazing stay. The property is centrally located; within a 5 minute walk of transportation, shops, entertainment, great restaurants, bars, coffee shops. The area felt safe and was well maintained. The suite was very clean and well equipped. I highly recommend a stay here, and at any Sonder location!

Christmas Trip
This place is great! Location for going to the Bears game was just what I was looking for. A short walk. Very close to the red line location. A nearby grocery store. Lots of options in the area for a espresso drinker like me. Chat feature on the app was very helpful. Security and cleaning person both came to my rescue when I had a couple of slight issues. Will be using Sonder for future trips back home for my visits!

Good view from the 5th floor and ample size unit with a kitchen with pots and pans and dishware. Home away from home. Bathroom was larger than a hotel unit with shampoo, conditioner and body wash and the plus was the living room with a sofa bed. Noise was heard from the adjacent neighboring room from the TV and verbal discussions. The small 2 person table is worn.

Water leak not taken seriously
Location of the apartment was excellent in terms of proximity to public transportation (CTA and Metra) and to grocery stores. A mile or so less of a walk to good restaurants. However, the lighting in the apartment was inadequate. No fan in either bathroom. Beds were very hard and comforters too heavy. Lighter weight blanket choices would have been welcome. Kitchen was fine but a dish drainer and more dish towels would help. Main concern was a water leak at 4:30 AM into the apartment on Sunday December 17. Water was pouring down the inside of the Chase housing the living room heater and coming out at the floor into living room bedroom and closet in the master bedroom. Water was pouring out of baseboard area for a hour- we used every bath towel in the apartment to sop it up. Called 24 hour number - no resolution since person spoke to is in another state and says no maintenance at that time of night. Only solution he could offer was to check to see if another apartment in Sonder building was available to move to- not a solution! Said he reported issue and maintenance would respond no later than 9 AM - this did if happen. Called 24 hour number again around 10:30 AM/ different person with same story but no real regard for integrity of the building. Eventually someone brought us replacement towels and did not take away soaked towels (I later laundered them)- did not truly address leak? I would not recommend this accommodation to friends.

This was a great property for our 6night stay in Chicago! Walking distance to great dining options, public transport and some of the sightseeing attractions. Given it was in the city we felt it was fairly quiet. Only down side was the blinds in the bathroom and bedroom, as there were 3 of us. The sofa bed could have used a topper. Not sure if people could see in at night if the lights were on. Overall we had a great stay and the property was as described. We would definitely stay there again.

I chose this rating because I was displeased with my room. I came to sonder to celebrate my birthday and I wanted it to be special. I booked a 1 bedroom city view apartment. The room didn't even have a door. I was upset because the suite description didn’t advertise and open bedroom with no door. If I would’ve known that I would’ve choose a different room.the room also had plenty of stains, scratches and scuffs on the walls and table. I also feel like sonder should have assigned parking of some sort because I paid for street parking for the rest of the night but needed to leave to go to the store. I came back and didn’t have the same parking space so I parked somewhere else not too far from the building. Because i had already paid be parking I didn’t know that I had to pay again if I parked at a different pole. This resulted in me getting a boot in my car while stay at sonder which also ruined my stay. This is no fault of sonder but I think the company should consider their guest and have very close parking garage or parking spot.
