You decide to build a sumptuous Thai villa in classical Thai style near but totally secluded from the city of Chiang Mai, with only a single security guard to alert you to the entrance behind large gates. You build 11 bedrooms/suites for guests and employ 30 staff to attend to your every need. You request that breakfast never be at a set time or place, it’s your house after all. When guests are few it reverts to your private house but if on your own can be a little daunting. You request dinner to be either Thai or Italian but when few guests it can be preferable to dine out, David’s kitchen being an excellent choice. I was at the tail end of my Thailand adventure and this was a great retreat for me. Only 11 suites at this resort, but they have all the features of a larger hotel. Restaurant was excellent, get the spring rolls, massage was very nice as well. What really stands out is the service, all staff is there to please. They assisted with tours, arranged transportation and also simply were good conversationalists.
