This fully restored apartment is a good starting point to visit the Val d'Orcia, get to know Montalcini and organize a trip to Rome or Florence. We recommend a visit with tasting in one of the wineries in Montepulciano and a picnic at Lake Chiusi. You can reach Lake Trasimeno in 30 minutes. Although we didn’t speak each other’s language, we used google translators and were able to communicate. The space is clean, modern, and well maintained. Franca had a basket of fresh fruit and wine when we arrived, and one day stopped by with fresh eggs from her chickens which tasted much better that the eggs we back in the US.
