"House was pretty. It did have a musty smell as other reviews have indicated and there were several bugs. Owner was communicative for the most part, but we had to check out unexpectedly early due to the VERY steep road to get to the property and the threat of inclement weather/ice. Owner agreed to partial refund, which we thought was fair, however, I had to fight back and forth with VRBO and the owner to actually get the refund for several days because the owner said it was VRBO’s responsibility and VRBO said it was the owner’s responsibility. In the end, I did get a refund but it wasn’t what I was expecting as the cleaning fee for 1 night increased and we barely used the place. I’ve never had a hassle with renting through VRBO until this rental. If you decide to rent here and aren’t used to scarily steep roads on the lake, don’t rent a lake house. Very hard to access & get in and out of with a regular vehicle, even though I asked about this up front. "
