"This is a difficult one to write about because the room was excellent and so was the pool (especially considering it was 37 degrees when we were there). The shower was brilliant, very powerful. The tea tray was good and liked having a teapot. Room clean.
We had a bit of trouble with the booking as we did it through Expedia, so I don’t know whether it was Expedia or the hotel that the problem came with, but it declined one of our bank cards and when we had the card checked out with the bank they said there was nothing wrong. Then we paid for the accommodation on another card and we thought that was the end of it but then it kept saying the card had been declined to take the £50 refundable deposit-but if they had managed to take the payment, why didn’t they take the deposit at the same time? Either card worked. They took this deposit and then still kept sending me messages saying they couldn’t take the payment. Obviously this can be very worrying because we don’t know whether we are being scammed.
Also I can’t really blame the hotel because of the extreme weather-the room was too hot to sleep and I had to have two showers in the night to cool down (the shower was amazing, very powerful) but, we could only open one small window partially even though there were two windows (one was locked), we understand they will say we could only open the window because of health and safety but across from us, in communal areas, there were windows wide open."
